For those of us with older 60/75's with battery degradation this leg between Macon and Savannah is a real stretch. I personally have to charge for about an hour to have the miles to make it from Macon to Savannah.
Just booked at Decatur. They confirmed I will be getting a loaner and that it takes more than a couple hours. But, could not guarantee a Tesla loaner. Lame.
Named it after what my Dad calls it in his southern twang when telling other people about it. "My son got one of them Telsa's. You know one of them all electric deals." So Telsa it is.
Atlantic Station: Most places are brunch oriented here and do not open until 10-11, Coffee spot just opened I think opens at 7?.
Decatur: This one is at a service center and walking distance to chain breakfast places (Chick-fil-a, Starbucks, First Watch)
If you're staying the night then feast...
If you can't get a ceramic coating (personal favorite and currently on my 75 is Gtechinq EXO v3 and CSL) then definitely go with the collinite 845. 1 bottle will last years and 1 application will last months.
If you missed a spot, how hard was it to buff out?
I used Gtechniq CSL and EXO v3 and the stuff bonds to the paint after an hour or so and I had to polish out a few spots I missed and repeat the process before the leftovers turned into a hockey puck in their vials.
My results:
I asked my DS not to detail the car upon last week's delivery and spent 8 hours this weekend washing, claying, cutting, polishing, and applying Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and EXO v3. Well worth the time and effort. I'm hoping for a solid 2 years of this same hydrophobic action.
Complete...
Thanks for the quick replies. Obviously PPF is better than the nothing I have now. I'm going to give the langka a shot. Running by the Nashville service center today or tomorrow to get the touch up paint. I am going to delay the coating a few days to let it cure out completely before hitting it...
Telsa, my 5 day old S75 gets a, as deep as you can get, rock chip on my hood. For the veteran owners out there how do you handle these? I know enough to stay away from the pen-application type touch up paint options. Has anyone used Dr Colorchip or the like? I had planned on detailing and...
Can confirm. 8 days to my delivery. Officially a useless slug with Tesla youtube videos on repeat, have memorized the entire manual including index and have read all TMC posts since 2014. Pretty sure my DS has blocked my email address at this point.
Well its been 2 weeks now since production ended. still sitting on my hands waiting for the car to arrive. scheduled appt for May 31st. Anyone else on the east coast seeing a 3 week transit time frame or is it just my dumb luck?
These next 2 weeks waiting will be brutal.
Unless they ship multiple trains east at a time. I think we are on the same train, I have the same time window May 30 - June 13th. My DS has a confirmed appointment for me on the 31st. Yours should get off at the Chicago yard where they change from...
Production ended 5/10
Delivery set for 5/31
21 days to be delivered (by train)?? Everyone I see on the east coast has a 10-15 day difference between production and delivery. Such is my luck I suppose.
Picking up my MS this month. First thing on throwing on it is 3M Crystalline all around including the windshield. I've had it on other vehicles and it was a huge difference. I can imagine the same with MS.
4/9: Ordered 60
4/16: Confirmed / Upgraded to 75 ($500 change fee), Est Delivery: May - Early June
5/2: Entered Production
5/7: Est Delivery bumped to June - Early July (although DS advised he is still expecting delivery May - Early June. "Don't pay attention to your myTesla"
5/9: Delivery...
I have several voicemails on my phone from my OA sent over the course of the week succeeding my initial test drive. ~ 2 weeks prior to the end of 60's production) telling me the 60's were going away and lets chat about how he could get me in a Tesla before then otherwise I'd be spending more...
Take this with a huge grain of salt, but my SA told me he had no clue about the price drop and he's been dealing with upset customers for a week now. Paraphrasing what he told me: "makes me look like a complete liar because I've been pushing the fact that once the 60's are gone you can't get one...
I am in the same boat as OP (ordered a 60 not 60D w/glass roof). Pressured into taking the plunge before the only price point I could afford went away. My order confirmed the Monday of the price drop. I paid the $500 to upgrade. Sucks, but like everyone says its a no-brainer. According to my SA...
My order confirmed on the Monday of the price drop and I was required to pay the $500 change order fee to get the upgrade. 2 days later my Tesla reflected the new pricebook with updated purchase agreement and stock photos. So I think its not a question of ability but more about...
I am taking delivery next month and am on the insurance hunt. I've looked through the insurance posts here but didn't see anything related to GA. So I was hoping if any other MS owners in GA / Atlanta could provide some insights as to which insurance company you went with and why, that would be...
Ran it up the chain of command as far as I could; Could not get them to budge on the $500, all saying no exceptions so I bit the bullet to changed the order. Good news though delivery is expected 3rd week of May, so 6 weeks from order placement to delivery.
So just heard back from my DS after 2 days of waiting (already getting suspensions of incompetence but that's another story). Even though my order confirmed hours (literally) before the price drop he is requiring a $500 change order fee to upgrade. Obviously I am pushing back a bit because...
I'm still waiting to hear back from my DS about upgrading my post-confirmation / pre-production 60 to a 75 at no cost (or $500 change order) as my confirmation date was Monday (date of new 75 pricing). Has anyone that is in my same boat heard anything? Sitting on pins and needles over here...
I'm in your same boat. Ordered a 60, now a 75 is the same exact price (with same options). I ordered 7 days ago, order was confirmed today. I've also reached out to my OA.
My prediction: Tesla is going to tell us to suck rocks and deal with it.
So.....
I just had my MS 60 confirmed today. Went on the website and priced out what it would've cost if I didn't order a 60 and low and behold its the same price.... for those of us suckered into getting a 60 before discontinuation could have waited a week and gotten a 75 for the same...
I'm only repeating what the sales advisor told me on my test drive. He could be wrong. I'd wait to hear it from a few sources before making a definitive decision.
Just placed my order with the same exact set of options minus the premium package. Speaking with my local sales advisor he personally said the money spent on the premium package could be better spent on any other option.
His reasoning were:
1. If my 80 year old grandmother has no problem...
