Weekly update on the two sites here ...

16 pedestal site in Lenox Road deck:

Cabinets are done, pedestals are done, asphalt and painting are done. The high-voltage connections at the transformers are NOT done, and appear to be waiting for inspection. Fences are still up.

Hey Tesla, if you are reading this, post a sign telling people where the mall entrance is (under the Herzing U sign). They will totally miss it otherwise. Ask me how I know.

5 pedestal site at north edge of north parking lot:

Work is now under way on trenching, conduits and concrete forming.

16 pedestal / Lenox Road site: hasn't changed much. They finished the permanent brown fence surrounding the cabinets. The temporary chain link fence is still up. The high voltage connection is still waiting to be completed (see picture in last week's update) so I think this is waiting for inspection or something.

5 pedestal / north lot site: conduit appears complete, 3 of 5 pedestal bases are in, concrete form for rack pad is done. Less progress than I would have expected.

Weekly update ...

16 pedestal site: utility connection has finally been made! Temporary fencing is gone. Pedestals are bagged, parking spots have cones. Workers were onsite working on a pedestal. Three pictures attached.

5 pedestal site: pedestals are done, Tesla cabinets are done! The switchgear concrete base still needs to be poured, and then those cabinets placed. I've said that the transformer is already there, but there's also huge utility conduit poking out of the ground so I'm not really sure about that. This one could still be a couple weeks off. Two pictures attached.

Someone has just added this to Plugshare. it would suggest that 4 stalls are open, but no photos either for definite proof.

The closest landmark to the 16 chargers is the JW Marriott Buckhead.

Chris, thanks for sharing all his information. So happy to see this coming up. I am curious to see how the 5 pedestal turns out to be. It appears it is next to Peachtree right opposite Westin (previously known as Swissotel) which is a very busy parking area. I fear non-tesla owners will park on these spot.

Aren't the 5 chargers off Peachtree in the valet parking lot? A deal should be worked out with the valet staff to let us use the chargers for free.

Update:

16 pedestal site: plastic bags are off, cones are still up. The pedestals have stall numbers -- 1A, 1B, 2A etc up to 8B.

5 pedestal site: temp fencing still up, pedestals still bagged, no numbers on pedestals, but otherwise seems done. Asphalt is freshly paved and painted. Utility meter is missing, so likely waiting on inspection. There's still that big conduit mysteriously poking out of the ground nearby.

I think they are going to put both of these online at the same time, which now seems like it could be any day now.

Already done years ago. The 5-pedestal site is next to the existing EVgo site. See Plugshare.

Having an odd number of urban superchargers is... odd... since half of one of the supercharger cabinets will just go unused.

Yup. Square footage is at a premium at this extemely popular location and I'm guessing Tesla got five parking spots and not an inch more. Cost of equipment is frankly secondary.

The 16 bay site has pretty much looked like this for the last 2 weeks. It looks like they are waiting for inspection.

16 pedestal site: cones are still up. No change since August 6th.

5 pedestal site: temp fencing is down, cones up instead. Pedestals still bagged, no numbers on pedestals, but otherwise seems done. Utility meter is now installed. Picture attached.

I forgot about the big conduit mysteriously poking out of the ground nearby, so maybe they did something with it.

This is now officially tiresome.

Is this garage open 24/7? Do you have to pay to park? I would be coming through here after midnight tonight.
