Todays photos. Shows the weird elevations of the curbing. Nobody working today. I don't see a meter anywhere.

The curbing in front of the chargers was cut out when they started.. When the re installed it, there are 3 different heights. In some areas it’s flush with the asphalt, some it about 4 inches high, and some is about 8 inches high. It Is very strange to me. Ill get a picture of it tomorrow.

Everything is set in place. Looks to be all hooked up. Made some asphalt repairs. Some curb repairs were done too. But I don't really understand what they are trying to accomplish with the different elevations. Fence has been removed and they are cleaning up. Still need striping...

I had great timing today. I can confirm they are V3 chargers. According to the electric department, the transformer is set and they are ready to energize the site as soon as the contractor finishes their connections and they get an electrical inspection. The prefabbed units are pretty cool...

I had some extra time today so I made some stops and did some digging. Looks like they are prefabbed 4 packs and both V3 and V4 are options. Final decisions are based on product availability.

This was today. It is a good location on a map. However, it is a very very busy Wawa. At lunch time and before or after school (high school just down the street) there is never enough parking. The worker was unsure if this location was to have a “Magic Jack” or not.

I have been told that the owner of the property will not sign off on this project. Wawa rents the land, so I guess the installation has to be approved by the land owner. They will not sign off on it. Dead project.

They have started construction. Fence is up and the conduit is getting installed. Supercharger materials are not onsite yet. Looks like 8 spots.

I spoke with the town. There has not been any permits applied for. They said Tesla and someone from the State of Delaware had identified this location as a possible site. Tesla said they were going to evaluate the site and see if it fits their criteria. Not a done deal yet.

I do believe I was the one there with you (around 11:00am). I was getting 52kwh too but got up to about 78kwh by the time I left. I guess it was the cold. we were over chilling at Starbucks.

All signs were up. Lamp pole up and wired. Meter installed and running. Pile of rocks gone. Trash dumpster gone. They were working on grading at lunch today. The only thing I see left after today will be final landscaping and the pavement. Not sure how fast that will be with the weather...

They have started working again. The City of Dover electric department was there and they said that they hope to have everything energized on their end by the end of the day. The installer would not give me an estimated time of putting into service. They were installing the missing light pole...

Pictures are from yesterday. Pad is poured and all underground conduit is in. Looks like most if not all materials are onsite. You can also see that the City has already run the conduit from the Main Transformer to the pad site for the Tesla equipment (they did that on Friday)

Stopped by today and work is really underway. You can't really tell in the picture but all the trenches are dug and a big pit is dug under where the transformers go. Looks like most if not all the supplies are on site as well.

Yea, I think the only thing that was done was the relocation of the curb. They moved the end spot out about a foot.

Actual work has started. Today 11/14/18 at noon!

No boots on the ground yet. However, we have fencing, dumpster, and a skid steer. Starting any day!!!!

The City of Dover has received the contractor information and the permit was issued this morning!!!!

Its not the ideal location that I would have picked for Dover. But I will take it!!!!!!!!

Well, its great that the SC is up and running. However, they just piled up all the snow from the parking lot, blocking half of them!

Keep an eye on the pole in front of the wawa sign with the wire coiled up at the base of it. When they run that up the pole, it will then be tied into the electric.

I just checked the traffic camera. There are 2 large Delmarva power trucks on site right now. Hopefully it won't be much longer.

Boy it would be great if this is up and running by the 13th! I will be staying about 10 mins away visiting friends, and the hotel does not have any chargers. This would just be so convenient. Keep the updates coming!!!!!!!!!!

The sign just says that wawa is open during construction.

Pouring concrete pads. And it looks like all the underground conduit is in. You can see the stubs sticking up where each charger goes. I will be there Friday. I will get some more close up photos.

The sign is for the buildings that are behind Wawa. It's my understanding that they may be putting an entrance or exit in between Wawa and the Substation. A large excavation company called miss utilities for that area last week.

That sounds like an interesting idea. I don't have any ideas for you, but please let us know what you find.
