    AWD delivery thread

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing a similar issue. I was scheduled to take delivery on 9/18, but the tracking information available at my local Tesla store shows the car will not arrive until 9/24 or later. I had to reschedule. I'm glad I checked in advance.

Of course I do not claim to know more about how Tesla matches cars than those at Tesla who are actually doing the matching. That would be delusional. And your suggestion that I might think otherwise is nonsense. However, I have been told numerous times by customer service people (and now by...

We have the same configuratio IMO, people who buy into the notion that reservation date is "irrelevant" are deluding themselves.

I feel exactly the same way. The downside of not having a dealership. I am happy with various color/wheel combinations. I wish there was a “first available” option.

    Tesla Model 3 Deliveries Priority

I’m day 1 also (about a minute after online ordering went live). I have non-P with EAP and FSD. I’m also cash. And I configured 6/26. Frustrating reading about people with 2017 and even 2018 reservations getting cars. I feel like Tesla’s “algorithm” does not give much weight to reservation or...

    AWD delivery thread

Well, "very small" is not really a factual assessment, and I make no guesses as to Tesla's motives. I am merely commenting on my perception of reservation holders reporting vins. And while there may only be a smaller percentage of P3Ds being produced week over week, you can count me out of the...

    AWD delivery thread

I do not think it is unfair to conclude that Tesla has prioritized P manufacturing. It seems to me that many people who ordered only recently (long after 4/1/16) are getting VINs for P3D. The logical conclusion is that Tesla made more P3Ds than it had early reservations for P3D cars. Now it...

I think you are right. Also, it seems only a subset of the potential configurations have been produced. I may be misreading the spreadsheets and I have not read every post, but I have yet to see a non-P, AWD, Pearl White, black interior, 19" wheel car delivered to anyone. I hope I'm in the first...

    AWD delivery thread

I completely get your frustration, but I am trying to look at it differently. I think Tesla is building the cars in runs based on Tesla's selected configuration. Tesla is then prioritizing the deliveries within the configurations. Because you configured for LR, your configuration is being made...

    AWD delivery thread

I think the Oct. - Dec. delivery estimate is generated by a script that looks to your contract date. By changing your interior, you had to sign a new contract, which means you have a new contract date. From my conversation with customer service, this date is not the date Tesla uses when deciding...

    AWD delivery thread

I'm not sure if your comments were directed at me, but my only point is that the Tesla customer service and delivery adviser teams do not seems to have access to timelines until the car has been produced and matched to a buyer.

    AWD delivery thread

I tend to agree with voip-ninja. I have been informed that there is absolutely no way for anyone in customer service to know when you might receive your car until it is matched with a car post-production. The system that does the matching is not, as I understand it, capable of estimating when...

I think you may have erred in that analysis. Google maps shows about 10:40 minutes for the trip and EV trip planner calculates just over 12 hours. About 1.5 hours total time spent changing over three stops.

Yep. Black interior. The funny thing is I probably would be fine if he had not received his VIN weeks ago. Can't help but ponder how many cars (of all colors) have been made since he received his VIN weeks ago.

I would agree except that my brother's car has 19" wheels. The only hardware difference between our cars is paint. His blue, mine white. Maddening.

I feel your pain. It is beyond frustrating that, as a 3/31 reservation holder, I still have not been contacted regarding a VIN. My brother lives in same city, reserved and ordered just after I did, and his delivery is next week. It appears I still do not even have a VIN. When I read about...

Why I Cancelled My Model 3 Order and am No Longer a Tesla Fan

Only 595 days? That means you reserved about 9 months (and 400,000) people after most of us.

    Ohio M3 AWD(non-P) Waiting room

Cleveland, Ohio Reserved online 3/31/16 (pre-reveal as soon as online opened up) Invited to config 4/6/2018 (immediately deferred for AWD) Ordered 6/26/18 Pearl white (originally obsidian black, but changed to white 7/24/18 and my configuration page still shows black) non-P AWD 19" wheels EAP...

I think you should have gone to the back of the line unless you had the option of reserving an AWD car in early June. Most of us were not able to reserve an AWD on June 7 and were waiting to reserve. It does not seem right to me that someone could have jumped the line by ordering a RWD early and...

NY: Model 3 cars at Syosset Tesla

Something must be seriously wrong with those cars for Tesla to mark them with such large Xs. I guess it's just more examples of Model 3s that need to be reworked post production.

“A specialist will contact you within 48 hours”

This is the same thing I've been seeing ever since I confirmed my order with cash and no trade. I do not think it means we are any closer to receiving the car, but what do I know??.

Wiki Model 3 Order Tracking Spreadsheet

That is really disheartening. If Tesla can't deliver more than 2,000 cars/week after allegedly hoarding cars in June to avoid triggering the tax rebate, things are dire indeed. Where are all the cars that are allegedly being produced at 3,500 - 4,000 per week?

Same here. Non owner, Ohio. Res 3/31/16 pre-reveal, ordered 6/28. OB AWD, 19 in, EAP, FSD. Paying cash with no trade. After reconfirming I still show Sept to Nov, but now it says Tesla is drafting up my contract.

    Frustrated by Dual Motor Delay?

I think the math is that the full tax credit ends the quarter after Tesla hits 200,000 (I think). I believe the $3,750 ends 6 months later. If the full credit ends March 31 (which it may), then the $3.750 will end Sept. 30, and the $1,750 will end March 31, 2019. October delivery could easily...

    Frustrated by Dual Motor Delay?

I have a March 31 reservation and live in Ohio. This means that I could potentially get a RWD car either late 2017 or early 2018--likely within the full Federal tax credit window. Unfortunately, it seems that by the time a dual motor version of the car is available for purchase, the Federal...

You may also want to add in a field for sales tax, which I believe is applied to the full value of the car regardless of federal or state tax credits.
