This thread did not exist back then. Would probably not exist if that owner hadn’t bought! And the thread deserves to exist. Not sure I see full logic. Sorry

    Tesla Chat Support sucks...

Ditto same experience!! Tesla has the most horrible support and I want to complain about it. They claim it’s “different than other luxury car support because their support staff is salaried employees”, but it is the worst possible experience about anything in life. It’s been 3 months summon...

V10 Impressions from those who have installed the update

Let's cut the crap -- (1) smart summon is a harder algorithmic problem than dumb summon, and (2) curving the car automatically in smart summon clearly seem to have BLIND SPOTS. For example, there are no sensors on and around the wheels. A sensor on or around front wheel may have seen the side of...

V10 Impressions from those who have installed the update

I am calling this depiction / picture a major marketing lie / BS - just like the object-tracking pictures and lane-changing videos on Tesla.com. Hard to believe Tesla is doing that..... Now they say they don't need ad and now they need such lies?

V10 Impressions from those who have installed the update

Every day I "dumb summoned" my car out for one year. Often I had to issue summon command twice, but that was ok. The "smart summon" did this. No human behind the wheel. There was no sudden change in surrounding as suddenly I saw the wheels turn and car move in a turned way at this spot. The...

V10 Impressions from those who have installed the update

Yes. I tried it 2-3 times in various spots for 2 days. And then this happened. The normal summon used to stop (merely annoying) but this so-called "smart" summon, I did NOT know, would go overboard and do this before I can even lift my finger off the app (which is completely disheartening for...

    Tesla "Service Hell"

Just an update.. As agreed, yesterday I visited Fremont service center with family to get my car back. Tesla fixed the chip/scratch on bumper but now we hear wind noise. This was the first time I took it out for a spin after glass roof replacement and we all heard wind noise. The service rep...

    Tesla "Service Hell"

I just want to drive the car that I paid for. I do not like a model S as much, even though it’s a perfect car. At least not as by product of service hell. Yes putting miles on loaner is nice. The goal here was to share/highlight the service and build imperfections. Just heard of the class...

    Tesla "Service Hell"

Holy crap. At what point can one invoke Lemon in this scenario? - check.. So much for “premium” brand and all of the sustainable energy future. Get a better service center location and “hope”. By the way there should be a way on these forums to vote on service center locations imho..

    Tesla "Service Hell"

Check my update above. I didn’t chose to post for a week thinking Tesla will fix scratch and deliver “one done up car” after nearly two months that is only pending firmware update for mundane thing like “safe breaking”... But they are radio silent on what’s going on and when will it be done. Umm...

    Tesla "Service Hell"

Umm.... No. My car was delivered last Friday by a courteous Tesla service rep. All fixed and cleaned. But it came with a brand new .... SCRATCH on the bumper. He took it back and I kept the loaner. .

    Tesla "Service Hell"

Thanks :). In terms of perfection over time.... After reading numerous posts in multiple threads, to me Tesla "comes across as a manufacturer not enough attentive to build quality". (Please read this line fully and read those threads I did before spewing hate messages to me - just kidding...)...

    Tesla "Service Hell"

Couple of updates, which I am sure each one of us can be slightly happy about: I escalated and Cced execs, detailed chain of incidents and recurrences of small issues I had already complained about prior. I also mentioned committed timelines Tesla missed and issues they promised but did not...

Wow. Which blessed service center is this? I am glad to hear that.

Are these normal for the passenger seal/lining?

NOT NORMAL. I had this, too ... among a half dozen other issues ... my car been in service forever now and definitely longer there than with me.. They will fix it if you insist.

    Tesla "Service Hell"

There was no attempt of heartburn. If you're not a Tesla planted noise here, you are on the customer's side. And also and one last time, nothing I said so far on TMC should alienate me from Tesla lovers. It's just that you got lucky! I like Teslas too, but when prod quality is not "standard", it...

It was a worthy and overdue jab at Musk's hypes about "Production Hell", but you're right. ;)

    Tesla "Service Hell"

I did want to mention and forgot that there is yet another issue - there are GAPS in the rubber lining between glass roof and body panels, resulting in noise today and perhaps dust, debris, rain and moisture later in life. AND we had MARKED and clearly mentioned about this and yet they have not...

    Tesla "Service Hell"

At this point I'd LOVE to dump the junk back and get the money out for all that I am going through. I'd be transparent to add that at another time in future if and when Tesla does mature up in terms of autopilot, servicing and build quality worthy of my money, I can buy then. Tesla - can I...

    Tesla "Service Hell"

My brand new Model 3 has been in service center for a total of 4 weeks out of the 6 weeks of ownership. I even dislike these forums and feel pre-planted Tesla proponents sideline and muddy genuine issues of customers who actually paid for the vehicles. I went for a checkup of few minor but...

Jim Keller leaves the autopilot team

By summon I obviously mean somewhere - anywhere - other than the 5 feet from inside garage to the drive way in straight line of course.. I mean a common man should be able to summon it at least within the damn freaking parking lot like BMW i3 or something as Little as that ...

Jim Keller leaves the autopilot team

This is just a promise/a plan/a prediction/a projection/a marketing pitch... call it for what it is. Call it whatever but not a feature. When any of the billions of common men other than a Tesla employee can summon the car or do any one of those thingnga, I’ll only then call it a feature...

Thanks :) Just by coincidence this is exactly what I did this morning. Similar results ~ 4.8, 5.3, 4.9. I used a stop watch with a GoPro. Also, this time I had the car fully 100% charged. The voltage (assuming it is proportionately applied directly to the motor without a step down DC regulator...

If only you speak less and read more, I've mentioned often that I'd be ordering / trying out more accurate device. I am even asking how others do. This is not a forum of "results" but questions, if you realize. Most of us who do drive cars are certainly not in a full on profession to own...

    Model 3's Wi-Fi connection should coming soon(pic)

Security reasons to not enable it so far, a tech told me. To me, they can delay it as long as its secure enough when they add it. I heard in the news 2 months ago that M3 was hackable to gain control via Wifi. Car is on LTE that's free for now - I don't see a strong benefit.

No sir. :) Haven't yet even tried valet - too early to gain that comfort with others on this cute car. Although I charged to near full today - 295miles and repeated experiment on same location. I got 4.8s, 5.2s and 5.8s. Next, will try with help of Tesla service in few days and with accurate...

Firstly, thanks a lot everyone for sharing ideas. By Google Maps I meant I later put markers on actual Google maps as a postprocessing after my drive to measure distance traveled that way. First marker exactly where I started, second marker exactly where I hit 60 as reported on touchscreen. I...

Btw by Google Maps I meant I later put markers on actual Google maps as a postprocessing after my drive to measure distance traveled that way. Hi all.. 3 weeks old Model 3 w/ 600 miles. My 0-60 clocks between 6 and 6.5 seconds. :( I measured it accurately using distances on Google Maps I pushed the car for and times I got, as well as using GPS based acceleration apps. I tried steering modes from Comfort to Sport as per on call Tesla...

    Ordered M3--Smart phone next?

Get one - even a basic smartphone with 3g and bluetooth, because iPad (even mini) isn't really a handy car key (let alone a smart phone at that, Tesla)... and the iPod Touch will have to be on Wifi to lock / operate fan remotely, unless when you're on Wifi.
