Firmware update added noises when changing gears, dont like it!

Check the last couple of ‘update notes’, I too was annoyed until I found that you could turn them off. A thousand miles from my Tesla, or I’d look it up for you.

Holiday update? what can we expect?

    CarPlay won't. Apple Music may.

    Rear ended

The interesting thing is apparently the other insurance company is refusing to make whole. I'm not in the middle, thankfully, but it's entirely possible that the vehicle's insurance had expired. Certainly the documentation shown to me was about 4 months past valid. However, my insurance company...

    Rear ended

Seems odd. My model 3 was rear ended in Irvine a couple of weeks ago, with substantially more damage. Contacted Farmers, provided all the details, they set up a repair for me (waiting on parts right now) and are going after the insurance company of the guy who ran into me. Subrogation, they...

A system reboot occurred while driving

I've had it happen a couple of times while driving on the highway. Submitted diagnostics, and was told it was an issue with the USB thumb drive I was using. Changed to a Tesla USB stick, and haven't had a reboot since. That being said, I'm not 100% convinced there's a real correlation, but...

Can't Send Text With Voice Commands

Interesting to run across this thread…I’ve had, on occasion, the issue where the system has been unable to reach the cloud to do processing, but it’s always resolved itself, given time or forward motion (different cell tower?). The challenge I have, perhaps due to a middle American accent, is...

    Wireless Charger

No wireless charger will work with an EMF case. That's what EMF is, Electro-Magnetic Frequency, which is how a wireless charge connects. If you're blocking all EMF, then nothing will get through to create the necessary charging process.

Tesla App: Choose WHICH garage to open?

My experience on an M3 is it is the last used Homelink signal. I have three programmed, and used in last week, it triggered the last one I had used.

    Tesmat order problem

I concur. I love the product, which I received on Monday, but since the shipping expectation changed after I had ordered, and I wasn’t visiting your website to check, some sort of communication would have been appropriate. It’s fine to highlight the expected shipping date when the product is...

    Tesmat order problem

Received mine yesterday. Very impressed, very much like the mattress I sleep on when camping. Looking forward to spending a night on it in the Tesla. I’m unwilling to hold this guy responsible for the delays, having worked with other small companies who are beholden on their suppliers, often...

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

Your point is ‘so far, they’ve only made a million vehicles’. I made no claim of time in my statement. The simple fact is, if there is an expense that is unnecessary in a vehicle that sells in large numbers, it need not be included in all built, especially if it can be added later. One wonders...

Safety Recall? Backup Camera Randomly Stop Working

The car also has both a rear view mirror, and drivers/passenger side mirrors, so you’re not solely dependent on the back up camera. I dare say people have been using these devices for quite a long time in order to back up, long before the back up camera first appeared in a car.

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

Yes, and is the same reason that Homelink is now an additional option. It is enough of an expense when multiplied across millions of vehicles.

When Phone Not Recognized, Where is the Failure?

I’m pretty sure that door unlock is in the BLE stack, and not the normal Bluetooth stack.

Tesla offering chrome delete for M3?

By which I mean, should there be a question, this section of the forum seems much more appropriate, not sure why the other thread was posted in the generic area, and has so much traction. I approve your choice to post here!

Tesla offering chrome delete for M3?

Oddly placed, but there’s already a thread here. Model 3 Factory Chrome Delete coming soon!

    Tesla iOS App not working

Yes. I did have an issue after the last update to 2020.28.5, where it wouldn’t finish the connect to the car although I could still get notifications (end of charging, end of update) from the app. The phone did still work to unlock the car and allow me to drive, so the app was still...

    Model 3 Acronyms list

NoA, or NOA? Seen it posted both ways, and I’ve always read it as North America, but I suspect I’m wrong? Finally found a post that suggests it is Navigate on Autopilot....

    iPhone app not connecting

That suggests that the car isn’t currently connected to your WiFi, and the garage is blocking LTE. Check from inside the car to be certain it connects properly to your home WiFi while in the garage.

Extend right leg for a 6' driver?

As amusing as I find this, there’s also the consideration as to how long your arms are to reach the steering wheel when the seat is back far enough to allow your leg to be extended. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a Model Y to give you any data. But given that height from the waist to the...

Model Y INCLUDES Wireless Mobile Phone Charger

I’d assume that if Homelink was installed on every car, Tesla would have to pay a licensing fee for all cars, seems smarter to offer it as an option to those that need it, and pay the fee then.

    Vehicle Ground Clearance

One has to wonder how many Model Ys are going to India, and what determines the appropriate height for their roads. I’ve only spent time in Bengaluru, but found their roads to be on par with the majority of roads in the US. I wouldn’t have a problem driving a model 3 there.

    Tesla Artificial Driving Noise

I don’t believe any thing can stop all incidents. Like drunk driving laws, amongst many of society’s laws, these are likely intended to reduce incidents. There’s no way to stop all potential events.

    Radio upon exiting the car

And, after a moment's testing, I'd suggest that the verbiage in the manual is incorrect, it's not a "mute" function, at least for the bluetooth connection, it is actually a "pause" causing the player on my iPhone to pause, not mute. Which is good.

    Radio upon exiting the car

JulienW, my thanks for pointing out that feature, it works as it should. Now, I need to go RTFM. :)

    Radio upon exiting the car

I’m actually looking for the same answer. I listen to podcasts via Bluetooth, and when I open up the rear doors, the podcasts continue at low volume, while I’m emptying the back seat. So I miss a minimum of 30 seconds, and possibly more depending on how long the door is open.

Any way to listen to Dodger games?

There's a HD station in San Mateo, 107.7-2, if I recall from the broadcasts properly, that carries the Giants games. I'm stuck here in Texas, so I have to rely on TuneIn Premium, and bluetooth.

Album Art over bluetooth not displaying

I had a brief discussion over mail with the programmer of Overcast regarding, he is also a Tesla owner. He suggests this is a programming choice by Tesla, and has notified them of the issue. My discussion with him about this was several months ago....I’d recommend that you “bug” it with Tesla...

    TuneIn Premium - when?

Does anyone know if Tesla is working on an interface to allow me to access the TuneIn premium content I pay for? While I recognize that the Major League Baseball is still a few months away, it sure would be nice to have the current app allow me to get to that content before the start of the...
