Anyone else having issue with remote climate controls lately?

Been having issues activating climate controls remotely on both my 2018 Model 3 and my GF's 2023 Model Y. For the last few weeks, trying to turn the climate on via the app results in a timeout error. Both cars have been rebooted, apps have been force quit and restarted, everything (cars and...

Pedestal for outdoor wall charger installation

Getting a Model Y to go with our Model 3 and I’m looking to move our Tesla Wall charger from our garage to an outdoor location closer to the street. (long story) There are a number of metal (aluminum or steel) EV charger pedestals on Amazon but none of them really show how connections work...

TeslaTap vs. Lectron Wall Charger to J1772 adapter

We have a TeslaTap Tesla Wall Charger to J1772 adapter that's stopped working after about 3 years. Causes our wall charger to fault, requiring a reset at the breaker box. I'm looking a replacement and curious if anyone has experience the similar Lectron adapter. It's about $50 cheaper which, on...

Scheduled servicing: Is there a recommended mileage or amount of time?

My Model 3 will hit 3 years this fall. When I first got the car I recall reading that there was a schedule for a regular servicing, something like 2 years, but that wasn't confirmed in any documentation or confirmation I got from Tesla. So is there a regular service interval? If so, what and...

    Lockdown and battery health

Just curious, I'm still driving about 90% less that I did before the pandemic and therefore discharging and charging my Model 3 battery less frequently. I'm curious, does anyone know if this lack of activity will have an effect on battery life, full charge capacity, etc.?

False open window indicator in Tesla app

Over the last couple of days, I've had an issue where the Tesla app says I have 1 window open (none are). When I use the app to close the windows it briefly shows them closed then reverts to saying 1 is open. Anyone else having this issue? Trying to decide whether it's an app bug, a car sensor...

So, this happened... ...and now I need to get my bumper and driver's side rear quarter panel repainted. Any suggestions for a body shop in the Seattle area that can handle Tesla repairs?

Show off your Model 3 camping pics

Been on 3 car camping trips with the Model 3 this summer. It's been great. Starting to see a few other Model 3s at camp sights recently. Thought it would be fun to have a thread of Model 3 camping photos. Show off your set-up! This is at the Newhalem Campground in the North Cascades National...

Are Elon's COVID rants affecting how you think about your Tesla?

This Washington Post article suggests that people are rethinking their relationship with Tesla due to Elon's rants about the coronavirus lockdowns and restarting Tesla's Fremont factory. Anyone here having those thoughts? I'll admit, I wish he would just pipe down and stop acting like a troll...

Do the 19" wheel center caps improve aero efficiency?

I picked up a set of used 19" OEM wheels for my Model 3, which I'm going to use with summer tires (and keep winter tires on my original 18" wheels). The Tesla 19" wheels come with star shaped center caps (which I didn't get) but also accept the flat replacement center caps for the 18" wheels...

    Great Customer Service experience.

Was at the car wash today cleaning off the grime from a long road trip. A mobile Tesla service tech notices me and asks if everything is ok with my Model 3. I mentioned a minor problem with my turn signal stalk and he sets me up with a repair appointment on the spot. Very cool.

Seattle area peeps- does the Hwy 99 tunnel show up in your map yet?

More than a year since the highway 99 tunnel opened in Seattle and it still doesn't show up in the Tesla map for me. Navigation directions account for it, but the actually map display doesn't show it. Anyone else notice this?

    Backup Camera field of view

This sounds like an odd question, but does everyone see their bumper when using the backup camera. I don't recall noticing it for the first 9 months I owned the car but now that I've seen it I can't unsee it. It's it always like this? I'm wondering if maybe the camera was dislodged somehow...

WIndow problem after latest software update

After the last software update (2019.28.3.) the driver side front window on my M3 now pops back up immediately after I open the door. This make it impossible to close the door without the window hitting the rain gutter. If I hold the door handle up, the window will pop back down but it's a...

PPF vs Ceramic coating - help a noob out

So, my M3 is currently having some repainting done due to some pitting that I got from driving it over the Cascade passes this past winter. (More detail here: Model 3 paint wearing off). I'm considering whether to have PPF or ceramic coating (as well as chrome delete) applied when it's finally...

Model 3 owner in a loaner Model S: impressions

My Model 3 is in the shop for repainting and the Tesla service center gave me a Model S P85 to use as a loaner. Not sure what year the P85 is (there are no advanced cameras), but here are some comparative impressions: - The Model S feels HUGE compared to the Model 3, much more than the supposed...

If only I'd had V.9 with the Dashcam capability today...

Early this afternoon, as I was moving my car from a charging station to my regular spot in my parking garage, I heard a car alarm going off. I rounded a corner to see a guy hustling toward me with 2 duffle bags in hand and one over his shoulder. Behind him was a Ford Raptor that was the source...
