I'm not sure if this will help your scheduled charging problem but maybe give it a try? For a long time, I had no problem at all. The car charged as scheduled at midnight, then it became VERY glitchey. I spent lots of time on the phone with support, both with Tesla... and the separate team...
You paid $1,500 for an infotainment upgrade? Holy cow. Is this a new vehicle? When I started this thread, it was unbearable. It almost never happens now.
I feel like the charging is super glitchy now. Mine sometimes doesn't charge to the set limit and even randomly starts when ever the heck it wants too (despite being set to charge at midnight). I don't have any third party apps, have it to charge using SCHEDULED CHARGING. It hasn't messed up...
Can someone please explain what airbags the Model 3 has and how it may affect a dog in the back seat. When I first put her in... there was an image on my screen where I could "X out" or what I thought was turn off air bags? I can't figure out how to get back to that... I have no idea how to...
I just had my car in the shop for a 12V battery replacement and listed this as an issue to have them look at. It's a "known issue" and they are working on it. I did learn a cool thing during that visit though. They recommend doing a "bug report" to flag the issue. Any time you have an issue...
Hello,
I've searched and see the past posts on Slacker buffering, stuttering, freezing, pausing, skipping songs etc. but they all seem to be from a couple of years ago. I've had my car for 3 years and had zero problems with Slacker until the last few months. In the middle of a song, the small...
About an hour after posting, I had an update arrive. I'mm now on 2020.24.6.9 I did realize that the charging issue was electrical related and not the car so I'm relieved about that. Hopefully the rest of the glitches will be fixed too! What is TeslaFi?
My car seems very glitchy lately. I'm in version 2020.20.17 and I've noticed a few things. (1) One I start the car, there is a quiet buzzing sound, seems like it's coming from the screen. It happens for only about 15 seconds then stops (2) I have to keep re-adding my phone. It's still in...
Oddly the next time I got in my car, the USB was working fine with the RED mark indicating normal functioning. Thanks for the info. I'll see how it goes in the next few weeks and move to an SSD or SD card if I continue to have problems. I think there may have been something "glitchy" with my...
Yesterday my Dash Cam icon was indicating that it wasn't recording (grey X) This happens every few months. As I've done in the past, I removed the properly formated USB, deleted all the files and kept the Tesla Cam folder in it. This AM after replacing it, there was a red circle where it's...
I'm having the same problem, so I deleted the app from my phone. If the app is not on my phone, although I'm signed into the Premium account in the car, it doesn't see my library. So annoying.
Do you only have the Spotify selected in your car or do you have to have it on your phone as well? I'm confused. When I had the app on my phone, Spotify in the car DID see my albums, but it continued to get confused as to what speakers to use, phone, home, car... so I deleted it from my phone...
I agree. I can't get my library from my account to show in my car unless I have the app on my phone, in which it was completely confused which speaker it should be playing on?!?!? If you have to have your phone on Spotify to make the Spotify work in the car... TWO THUMBS DOWN. This is so...
Hello,
I've looked on this forum and can't find the answer and Tesla "chat support" is taking HOURS... and I guess the awesome phone support they had when I purchased a year ago is gone. :-/ Anyhoo... I have Spotify Premium. The Spotify in my Model 3 is signed into my Premium Spotify account...
So my car was delivered exactly 1 year ago YESTERDAY and when I got in the car, I realized my music wasn't working. The LTE icon was showing but the music wasn't playing and a little circle at the bottom of the screen just kept circling. I figured out quickly it was my car's 1 year birthday...
I'm on the latest I think (2019.20.4.4). Homelink worked PEFECT up until the last couple of updates, both within the last 2 weeks or so. Pretty annoying. It will start to trigger the garage door then quit. :-/
The dancing is getting worse... makes me dizzy! And not only dancing, when at a stop sometimes the screen is switching back and forth, over and over again, from birds eye. Let's fix this Tesla! :(
OK, I've had my USB in the drive for several weeks now. It seems to be functioning well with the red light on while I drive. I've hit the button only once while driving to "save" a video as I was right in front of a big-rig that had a tire blow out. Thought it would be interesting to see it...
I was able to format it as FAT32 and still nothing happens when I put it in the car. Help!
And... Are there a bunch of low level Google employee trolls on here suggesting to Google "LMGTFY" every comment posted on this site? I'm seeing it on so many threads. So annoying!
I'm sure this has been asked and answered but I can't find the answer here. I searched for a good USB for dash cam and Sentry according to recommendations on this forum. I don't need it for music. I ended up purchasing a 64 GB thumbdrive...
Help please! I'm a bit frustrated with my autopilot. (Model 3, version 2019.8.5) Despite holding the wheel, I frequently get the nag "Apply light force to steering wheel." I move my hands to another location on the wheel and try holding lighter... the alert flashes again... so I try harder...
Please ignore my ignorance but I'm looking for some actual INSTRUCTIONS as to how set up the Sentry mode. Where does Tesla post instructions for new updates besides just a quick 1-page note on screen after update? Do I need to format thumb drive... where do I plug it in... how do I know that...
This is not a franchise. I read lots of reviews and looked at lots of pictures on Yelp about 'bumper repair' then called several different people and asked lots of questions. Most of them will have you text or email them a picture of the damage and then give you a quote. I received about 5...
Just wanted to share that if you need to repair any minor damages of your Tesla without the cost or hassle of body shop and you live in San Diego... The Ding Doctor, Jason, is your guy!!!! My bumper is flawless now after a very unfortunate mishap with a "decorative" boulder in a parking lot!
The last several days my LTE has a slash over it and remains the entire short drive. It's intermittent... but it's happened 3-4 times in the last week. I live in the San Diego area. Why is this happening? I see people talking about a "soft reset." How do I do this? Is it recommended? Love...
My LTE normally works fine, but the last several days when I get in my car it has a slash in it and stays that way for my entire drive or just 3-4 minutes. Usually with the next trip somewhere its fine. Is this a glitch?
But doesn't the car itself show that an update is ready to download and install? I vaguely recall this from the last update. I'm just wondering if there's a way to see if the car was trying to receive the update but couldn't due to WiFi issues.
Thanks! Sometimes when you get on these forums you feel like EVERYONE has it and you were forgotten. I'd much prefer the buffed-out version. I will wait patiently. :)
Can someone explain why some people have the updated app and sentry mode and I don't. The app store has nothing to do with when Tesla sends out updates to each vehicle. My app is updated... no sentry to my car or the app. Booo!
I still don't have Sentry Mode update for my Model 3, LR RWD. I checked my app in the Play Store and it's fully updated, with last update 2/21. Would the app still show an update was due to the car if the car was having a difficult time installing due to crappy WiFi? It seem like my car is...
I've posted my frustrations with the Wifi in the past and my car even had it's "connectivity board" replaced to "fix" the problem. After the fix, it connected so I pretty much forgot about Wifi issues and moved on. Since I know new updates are coming, I thought I'd check in on my Wifi. When I...
Hi Dan. I feel your frustration! Mine actually had nothing to do with the “DLNA” as suggested in the thread. I started with Tesla phone support and they escalated the issue to a higher level of support when it wasn’t easily fixed. They were awesome and tried to troubleshoot with me. I would...
Charles, I guess I do mean router. :-) When Spectrum made the recent changes this week... I went from one black box to 2 (separate modem and router). I truly appreciate your help. I'm going to first see if when my car goes in on the 26th, if the updates change anything with my current...
OK... thank you so much for your help. I promise I'll drop this thread and stop bugging you with IT questions but one last thing... do you happen to know if I can use an ethernet port in my EXISTING modem to plug the 2nd modem into for a NEW and separate WiFi address? I think I only have 1...
I don't have a spare one but I suppose I could go buy one? First, I think I'll call Spectrum to see if they think this may be the problem and maybe they can create a work around for me. Thanks for the tip!
When I was on the phone with Tesla support, he had me troubleshoot by connecting to my phone's WiFi hotspot. That worked perfectly! About a month ago when I first had the car, I had a different modem and WiFi. It connected instantly, but admittedly I never checked to see if every time I was...
Hello,
I have had my Model 3 for about 1 month. I was having WiFi issues in general in my home and Spectrum installed a new router and modem. I did (just in case) add a WiFi extender in my garage. My car sees the correct WiFi with "full rainbow" service (with or without the extender)...
