Love my Model Y, but there's always room for improvement...What features would you like to see Tesla make for Model Y or Model 3?
Let's classify this as either A) software updates or B) hardware upgrades (for new cars and possibly retrofitting to existing cars).
I'll start...
A) Software...
Hi everyone…I was just wondering if anyone has seen or aware of any leaks for any upcoming updates to our model 3 for the year 2023. I feel like during the previous years we have seen leaks or rumours at least online on what it could be….I know there was one in the source code about the second...
My Model S 75D nerfed to 80kw max is now charging at 117kw on a V2 120kw SC since 2020.48.30 update. HW3 also recently fitted but the unnerfing came only after 2020.48.30
Got my shiny new Model 3 on Thurs and am delighted with it so far, except for one thing: the left-hand camera on the front wing seems to be dead. It doesn't appear in the camera views and i get a warning about autopilot camera being unavailable. Annoying that I didn't notice this before driving...
Picked up my SR+ June 2019 SoCal/LA. I initially received an email that I was able to come in to upgrade my hardware but it was cancelled a week before the set appointment. This was all before the Covid lockdown. I've tried scheduling on my own a few times after that but no luck.
Anyone else...
We now have 2 model 3's. I bought mine last May. Apparently it doesn't have the hardware to see stop signs and traffic lights which shows up on my Ladies' car (Bought in December). My understanding is that came out in April. So even though i purchased in May, Apparently I did not get the...
I am getting frustrated and could use some input. I have owned 4 Tesla's over the years. I started with a Model S 60, then went to a Model S 75D, then to a Model 3 LR RWD, and then in September 2018 I got a Model X P100D (this was an inventory vehicle - I was told when I was buying it that it...
Long time lurker first time poster.
I am waiting to buy a model 3 until it has hardware 3 / HW3 on it (days to months away, apparently), standard. If nothing else for a higher resale value when I eventually sell the car.
I’ve seen posts and videos on how to access the ECU / autopilot computer...
Opening this thread with the hope of some focused discussion on the retrofit question only.
(Please leave out antecdotal joy and sorrow about taking delivery soon, too early etc.)
Made a quick video after my AP1 vehicle and AP2 vehicle got the 2018.6.1 update to show autopilot side by side. My commute has a ton of cresting hills and sharp curves. Couldn't wait to see how it handled some of them. I'll keep testing this, especially after the next update the electrek has...
Excuse my ignorance on this subject but I couldn't help but wonder about the current state of autopilot for both Hw1 and Hw2. When it comes to the mobileye hardware and Tesla vision hardware, does Tesla have the ability to continue to develop software for Hw1 vehicles or do they run the risk...
Hi everyone,
So I understand that AP 2.0 is still "beta" which is kind of frustrating to begin with because I purchased my AP 2.0 Model S in December and its almost May and I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel when a fully rolled out version will become available. Anyway now that I...
After reading this article today in electrek:
First picture of Tesla’s new NVIDIA onboard supercomputer for Autopilot installed in a car
It seems that the current hw2 vehicles can realistically achieve level 4 with the processing power of the current chipset, and although a swap out for newer...
New Model S and X are now being delivered with a different rear brake setup for non performance cars. (60/75/90kW cars) Performance trim cars retain the previous design.
Highlights
Single Piston rear brake caliper now replacing 4 piston rear caliper for non performance models
Integrated...
Hello,
first post here as I am starting my research with the end goal being to join the Model S Owner's Club
I am looking at Tesla Model S inventory and I see a few options. However, nothing indicates if the model is build with the new facelift, or if it has the latest AP sensors or maybe the...
So as you probably know by now, Elon has confirmed that they are working on a new hardware suit, let's call it Autopilot v2.
It's a shame that existing TMX owners and near future owners (including yours truly) will not have this new set of features already installed and up and running. The...
