Hey all -
Long time reader, first time poster, as they say.
Signed up to get y'all's opinion about whether my Model X is repairable or not - it was hit while street parked front of my house today by a driver that simply lost control and plowed into it in broad daylight.
The left rear is pretty banged up. The wheel is completely detached. Rear bumper, and left gull wing door will need work. Lots of sheet metal and paint work back there. There's some bending of the sheet metal up under the wheel arch a little bit, too.
I have a call into Severn Auto Body in Annapolis, MD that did a small fender bender front bumper repair in February - that took about 45 days to get fixed from start to finish and I'm terrified of how long this is going to take, if it is economically repairable.
I have minimal experience with severe impacts - it doesn't seem OBVIOUSLY totalled to me but again, I'm not sure with these cars -- photos are attached.
It's a 2017 Model X 100D with just over 50,000 miles, six seats, FSD, premium interior. I have State Farm and the car lives in Washington, DC.
I'd appreciate any insight or suggestions you guys have. Thanks in advance.
