2017 MS 75D - Battery Pack degrading much faster than previous generations

OP here. 35.5k miles now, and no further change to rated range, still 236/237 miles. So I'm happy at least the degradation seemed to have slowed / stopped, albeit in the 8-9% range. That said, it also didn't increase at all after multiple attempts to 'cycle' or 'balance' or whatever the BMS reading as some suggested. It doesn't work.

Balancing etc did not work on my S either, it just makes things complicated.

My 75D is almost exactly the same mileage 32K and degrade 8% as yours and many others I have witnessed on this site. I have not charged to max in 6 mos., so I am not sure what it might be now. I probably won't ever do it again either, there is no real reason to do it. I wish I had started that way in "chargingameteurhood".

You live in the Bay area, so supercharging for trips(daily needs maybe) in CA I cannot speak to, but they must be complicated at times, busy on weekends, Mothers Day etc. Everyones needs are different.

I travel on trips in the lower 2/3 of the battery anyway here in FL. Supercharging is getting more complicated here as well. I like to hit and run while others are sitting mildly reading/eating/talking before I get there and after I leave. SO I get in charge my needs and move along. That frees up the charger also for others.

Really 236-238 is plenty and move along in the lower 2/3 of the bat. Range is an adaptable thing where the size of your Battery is related to your anxiety level and how much energy to find your next charge. I welcome the challenge, it keeps me engaged.

My 2016 S75 is holding at 222 miles (~11% loss). Approaching 80k miles.

I’m on a multi-state road trip right now with lots of supercharging and range charges and it hasn’t affected anything thus far, positively or negatively.

For some reason after the latest V9 2019.12.1.1 upgrade my range has changed from 254 miles (409km) to 279 miles (451 km) and kW/km to 165 kwh/km
I charge each night to no more than 80% with Tesla 240v 48.amp wall charger and to 100% once a week to get to cottage where I only have 110v 15 amp to Top Back Up to get back home.

Change your displayed range from “ideal” to “rated”.

I cannot confirm the numbers Bjørn Nyland posted on his video.

21-10-2018: 90 kW
09-11-2018: 85 kW
20-01-2019: 79 kW (arrived with cold battery after 38 km of driving, battery heater was activated, only topping up for 11 minutes)
03-02-2019: 80 kW (might not have been very warm, but no battery heater)
25-02-2019: 85 kW
[many SuCs, road trip]
06-03-2019: 83 kW (end of road trip)
16 more SuC, stable since end of road trip

Throttteling started at about 9.000 kWh DC (and about 40/60 ratio DC/AC)
