Has anyone tested if the car unlocks the charge port once charging has finished as reported elsewhere? If so, that would be a potential issue for me since I often charge from a J1772 charger at work and anyone could just pull out and walk away with the $100 Tesla adapter ...

In the SF Bay Area, I suspect that you don't have to worry about the car activating the cold-weather behavior.

Do we know that this behavior is only triggered in cold temperatures? It seems so far this firmware version is only being pushed to people in areas with colder climate.

Um ya, the fix they’ve described is to simply open, and leave the windows and charge port door open...

Did you check the equalizer? Maybe it reset?
