Tesla's software rollouts don't work this way. It's kinda like this... every VIN in a database at Tesla along with what version of the software they expect that car to have. The car connects to Tesla, the database is checked, and if the currently installed version is the same as the database version, nothing is downloaded. IF not, the database version is downloaded.Or don't bug fixes work this way?
As we know, they don't update every single car at the same moment. They roll it out over a few days/weeks. So If my car has x.x.1, even though x.x.3 might be rolling out to some, when my car checks, it might get x.x.2 is the expected current version for my car, and do an update to an "older" version.
This isn't like Apple where when the new iOS drops, every single device will show that new on as the "current" one.
