2021 Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors

Got my 2021 M3 LR AWD last week and got Michelin X-Ice on my spare 19" from my 2019 (lease return). Ran into the same issue, luckily found this thread and it then made sense...I was about to go yell at the tire shop. Anyway, $440 later ($300 for TPMS, 140 for labor) later and it should be all set for pick up later today. Side note, lucked out and asked parts guy if they had the splash guards and some unfortunate soul forgot to pick his up and I now own them

Has anyone tried to put the new Bluetooth TPMS on a 3 that was originally fitted with 433 MHz? Is it possible that the Xmas software update enabled the older 3s to run the new TPMS?

Good question about the Christmas update...it would be awesome if they enabled the old TPMS sensors on the new M3. I purchased a set of winter tires/rim package prior to my M3 pick up on Nov 20. Has the winter tires installed only to find out the sensors don't work and I got this error message staring me right in the face. Huge disappointment. I really don't want to spend an extra $500!
