2022 Q2 production Model 3 missing matrix headlights?

Picked up my M3LR today and no matrix headlights. Ordered 3/7/2022 with the VIN being 260xxx.

Assuming I should have refused delivery to get a vehicle with the correct ones. Being that this is my first Tesla vehicle, I walked through the entire car and didn’t think to check the headlights modules. Moment I pulled up to the house my son said, dad these are the wrong headlights. :(

So my thoughts that I’d be getting my 2022 Red/white Perf with matrix headlights is just a pipe dream? I got the ViN and it should be ready this week. What else am I not getting on this June built car? I hate to turn it down because it’s 5k cheaper than current pricing but is they’re cutting corners on that then what else?
Performance should be getting matrix lights regardless. So far new builds have gone back to matrix again. It was like the 3-4th week of May where they went back to premium for a little bit.

Rejecting the car does not mean you lose your pricing, that only happens if you CANCEL the order and place a new one.

My last post on here! I've been driving the car since Saturday. Drove it around Saturday night and Sunday night. If you're on the fence about keeping or rejecting based on the lights alone, I don't think you've got anything to worry about. The lights were really good, even driving through the rain last night. Feel free to send a private message if you have any questions.

This morning I received VIN 271xxx. Contacted Tesla at ‭888-518-3752‬ because the Tesla app was crashing when I tried to upload proof of insurance. The SA had me email my insurance card. She said my car was born on June 5th and it has matrix headlights. Posting this to add another data point to the discussion of VINs, build dates, and headlights. I understand that I won't know for sure about the headlights until I see the car on delivery day, about two weeks from now.

For anyone else who has put a hold on their account after/near receiving a VIN, how long after the hold was lifted did stuff start to happen? I will be on vacation the last week in June and want to make sure nothing happens until after July 1st, but also understand it won't likely be quick. My SA said they had MANY people put their accounts on hold right now due to the Illinois rebate requiring purchase date be after July 1 ($4k incentive) and there could be a decent backlog.

(cross posted from the LR waiting room, I figure this group may have more experience with holds...)

Honestly if you aren't the kind of person who cares about the latest and greatest, or a nerd about the tech of the matrix LED's, those headlights are still VERY good. I went back and forth on rejecting mine, but the EV incentive coming in Illinois made my decision easy for me. I am the kind of nerd who likes the new tech, and when i ordered mine i was pretty excited to see what the matrix can do in the future. But I bet 99% of people wouldn't notice unless told.
