I don't have a full jug of fluid in the garage to demonstrate (and it would be a two hand pour, so no pics), but one can reliably hit the fill plug from the height of the jug, with some practice.
If some fluid gets spilled until you dial-in your aim, no big deal.

It's easy. The worst that happens is you spill a little.

I'm shaking my head at the folks who have a hard time with something as simple as pouring a liquid out of a gallon jug. My wife can handle the TWO gallon vinegar bottle she gets from Costco without problem.

This might help a lot, they report fits perfect on fluid bottles, $5 right now.
