I'm speculating dual-motor drive proved so advantageous when testing Model X, that they have decided that all Tesla vehicles will sport "The D" from now on.
They could just as easily be there as a course to be navigated, hands-off, or to keep the attending hordes orderly.imgur: the simple image sharer

I'm not saying it's false, but I think that would be an incredibly risky maneuver without buyout from certain government agencies. I find it unlikely that none of them have leaked info.I agree and go one further that it has been quietly included in cars rolling off the line for the last month or so.

and it slightly improves range but requires 6.x to enable the second motor.

Has there been any pictures posted of the front wheels having drive axles attached to them?I agree and go one further that it has been quietly included in cars rolling off the line for the last month or so.

Very unlikely. We know from the X that the second motor eliminates the microwave sized rear space in the frunk. People with new cars would have noticed that change.
I don't think this isn't true at all. The Model X I saw in person had a frunk. The front motor is in between the wheels on the front axel so shouldn't interfere with frunk space.
The model X definitely has a frunk. What it doesn't have is the small microwave sized space aft of the main frunk. It's the one covered by the netting.
Anybody know if this event is going to be live streamed and at what time? You would think there would be something about it on the Tesla website but cant find anything! Help!
i tried sifting through this thread, but got impatient. What time is the event tonight?
