Elon Musk on Twitter:
Dual motor (Model S) and something else (Model X)
Calendar blocked on October 9th
Hopefully at the Design Studio.
I think you're on to something.
Elon Musk on Twitter:
What is IT Begins Now
Model 3 = Model D (Not if thats the right pic)
Cheaper Model S (Very unlikely)
Model Driverless <----- Most likely
I doubt this will be a whole new model. Probably just a different Model S - like the D85 instead of P85 or something like that.
Here we go
TSLA moves on news
think this is news (?)
ps: damn right it's "about time" !
Could this be the AWD that was claimed to be developed within next 3 months (D from dual motor)?
Model D, is that what the new sedan is called?
The most common reply I get from folks who fall in love with my car is, "I can't wait till they come out with that more affordable Tesla". Well I just received a tweet from Elon, looks like they're about to reveal the next model!
I remember on an earnings call a while back, when asked about high R&D costs, Elon said something like "In the past we've shown all our cards. We're no longer doing that. R&D is high because we're working on things you don't know about." I thought maybe auto-pilot was ahead of schedule. A new line would definitely be an interesting twist.
I love a mystery, let the guessing begin especially the something else!
-roadster owners will finally get news about the battery upgrade
-long awaited roof rack solution
-The X pulling a trailer during it's coming out party
-Autonomous driving preview
How about the "D"ual motor (AWD) designation for the new version of the Model S?
That's my WAG anyway...
If we're throwing out speculations, what about a whole new model - the Tesla Model D, say a pickup?
It doesn't make sense to me that they would use a whole new model number for the S with a second motor.
I tend to agree...which makes me happy as I don't really want and X, but want AWD for New England winters. I don't know about the 'something else'. What do you think it could be about the Model X? Maybe an even bigger battery pack?
Its the new Diesel model
Where does this teaser image come from ?
Beta or final version reveal. It's expected late this year.
