How are y’alls efficiency? I’m hearing over 300 for 20s staggered. Kinda a letdown even with a lightweight forged wheels.

It’s the extra tire width, open wheel design, typically more aggressive offset....that impacts the range more. That being said I’m seeing avg 290-298 wh/mile with my staggered 20” VS08. 40 mile round trip commute to work, 85% highway, if I keep it under 70, I can see 270-280 wh/mile.

My 20” VS03 VS Forged staggered 245 fronts and 285 rears are getting me 195Wh/km or about 313Wh/mile. That’s about the same as when I had on my 20” stock wheels. I have a set of Signature 20@ SV107’s on order with a 20x9 square setup and getting PS4 tires in 255 width, so I’ll update the energy usage when I have those on in a month or so.

I try to run psi at around 42-44 cold pressure and the tires will be all PS4’s (unless I can get a good deal on some Bridgestones for the 255). Also, patiently waiting on my comfort coilovers from MPP, so that should help with energy and efficiency as well.

If you're familiar with the Bay Area, I literally just drove from Cupertino to Stonestown in SF on 280. Lots of up and down hills, about 40 mi in guessing, raining, and averaging about 75 mph. My average was 327 wh/mi over the last 30 mi. I know I burned about the same battery life I typically use for driving to work, but on 10 fewer actual miles. If I had to guess (with this small sample size), I'd say im about 15% less efficient.

I’m planning on getting 20” aftermarket wheels but I have a question to ask:

Why would one get a staggered wheel setup versus a squared setup? Pros and cons of each?
Square reduces under-steer( if you plan on tracking) and allows you to rotate, but if you have AWD the regen breaking may make rotating negligible. Staggered usually looks better/more aggressive and technically provides more traction for acceleration, that said I don't think it really helps in a Model 3.
