Alternative tire size for M3 20 inch wheels

I've got the stock Michelin 235/35/20 tires that are in need of replacement. I've heard mixed thoughts on looking for a slightly different tire size. I'm looking for a better selection but that will still be acceptable and not too far out of spec. Searched but didn't find much in this forum. Any tips are appreciated!

Just went through the same thing. Read and re-read the posts here and elsewhere. I ended up putting on Michellin PS4S in 275/30/20 on the Uberturbines a week ago. Everything is stock. No rubbing issues. Feels more planted. Softer ride. Some rim protection.

For me, it was worth whatever hit I'm going to take in range. It's early, but seems to be about 1% on my daily round-trip commute which is 70-75 miles typically. I can live with that if it holds. Or even if it falls a bit more.

Do you have any pictures of the 275s? That sounds like a pretty drastic difference from 235.

Be aware that 275's on a 9" rim may actually make the car slower around corners:

And for sure they will cost you more money and less range.

If you have the Michelins stock, you also have the orginal performance wheels, not uberturbines, right? In that case, those are 8.5" wide wheels, and too narrow for Michelin's acceptable range for a 275 series tire.

@bigroo42, the MPS4s is an amazing all around tire in anything but snow. What are you looking for different that you can't find in 235/35R20?

245/35R20 is fine too, Tesla sells that specifically in the Track Pack.

255/35/20 is probably the widest I'd go on 9" wide wheels. Track package specs the 245/35/20 Michelin tires on the ZeroG 20x9 wheels.

So, you have a bunch of options between 235-255 width tires for factory wheels.

FWIW, I run 255/35/20 all seasons on my 20x9 wheels, and the handling is very connected still compared to factory 235s.
