Hi,

So I ordered my car and was waiting to go into production when Tesla announced the P100DL. I immediately called my delivery advisor who gave me the instructions on how to get on the upgrade list.

I just got this email (truncated) today.

... just received an update that your Model S is in the final stages of leaving the factory, and the even better news was, because we caught your production just by the hair of our chin, the factory was able to build your Model S with the 100kwh battery completed!!

So while I doubt I'm actually first and have no way of proving what number I am, surely I'm at the start of the line. Wonder how they will handle my window sticker. Will find out soon.

Premium seats too? Pushing it I know haha, congrats that Is fantastic news, be sure to post pictures!

Did they give you a delivery date yet?

This is the exact copy/paste from the delivery specialist today:

This is great news and it means you will be 0-60 in 2.5 seconds as early as next week!

Seems like a no on the seats, but I'm not even sure what those are or what I'm missing out on, to be honest. When I tried to configure a P100DL, the seat options were identical to when I ordered the P90DL.

You would make a lot of people happy if you could run the Tesla Power Tool app from an iPhone in the car. That will tell us how much power the P100 battery provides during a launch.

Sure. I'll gladly donate $6.99 for this cause to that app developer. I'm not familiar with it, but I'll do it on day 1. Sounds fun. Hopefully that is exactly 1 week from today.

Great! Here's the graphing chart we hope to be able to update with the first P100DL data:

TeslaPwr25.jpg

All we need are the following six data points which is recorded automatically when you run the app and do a launch:

1) Launch with Max Battery Pwr On and Ready with battery near 100% charge

2) Soon after doing 1 above just cut off Max Battery Pwr and do another launch

Do 1 and 2 for the battery at around 80% charge and again around 70% charge

I'm pretty sure you will be well above the best achieved with the latest 2016 P90DL (Yellow curves)

Thanks for doing this!

I can confirm that the iPhone stays in place during Ludicrous launches.

Cheers. I picked this up from Amazon this morning. The one I bought wouldn't stay on the Tesla air vents and had to be mounted much lower on the sunglasses shelf* in the center console and would often come off anyhow.

No word on the car yet.

*I don't know that this actually called.

DP....... in case that doesn't suit you, this one from abstract ocean is very good. Magnetic Phone Holder (Slimline) It does not block the air vents and has a gorgeous design. Just like Teslas.

Cant wait to see you buzzing around town.
