That is an awesome idea. We need to get a PD owner to pull the fuse, line the car up on a straight and stomp the go pedal. We will all have our answer. If it goes up in smoke, Tesla is somehow doing traction control without very little slip.
It must be in a straight line however as any front wheel angle will act to bind the car up and thus load the driven wheels. This is why donuts are so popular; having the front wheels turned works to hold back the rears and have them break traction even quicker. It also keeps the smoke in a small area for the show effect
