M3P also has track mode... MYP does not if that is a consideration for you.do you care about acceleration and handling? That's the biggest benefit of a 3 vs Y, besides cost.

Get the M3P if you want toFair enough. Currently have two other cars, my wife's Model Y SR 7 seater and a Honda Fit as our "beater". Have a 6 and 8 year old that we normally tote around, but nothing additional on the way

all under 30 min. It's that fast.
- ditch the kids
- picnic at the top of the hill
- fun at a hotel
- get home
I'm already coming from an X3M and then a long line of BMW M3s before it, so I'm ready for something non-BMWNeither. Get a BMW 45e X5 for city driving and road trips. Plug-in hybrid with run flats, air suspension, quiet interior, and 360 camera will cover the features the MY lacks.
for the people who couldn't understand why the OP asked the question (and spent a lot more effort than trying to answer), both of Father6's replies are why. This one in particular went beyond the original question and I think is the best answer. Benefit from the 2022 updates. Don't give up the advantage of ordering at lower price.Just a thought... if you *do* decide to get a 3 instead, I would consider buying the MYP too and selling the YSR. Since you're getting it at lower than current price, there's probably profit to be made from your SR.
When we consider ICE cars, larger means using more fuel, more cost to run. With EV's the cost is reduced a lot and the difference is very little. That leads you to choose the larger model Y and enjoy the extra room in it and the ease of entry and exit, since it sits a little higher. You pay for the difference but likely worth it for most.Hello - I currently have a MYP on order (locked in prior to the price bumps) and would be adding it to our stable that includes my wife's Model Y SR. As I've gotten closer to delivery though, I've begun to wonder if it would make more sense to get a Model 3 Performance instead? I'm just worried that the MYP will feel redundant in a way. There is a very low mileage Model 3 demo that I can get right now, so there's that also.
I like your style, always hustling!Since you ordered before all the price bumps and you're willing to purchase a used M3, take delivery of the Y and sell it. Then shop for your M3.
Good Luck
