Any Colorado deliveries post factory reopen?

I was told my car vin 175xx was "born" 6/19. Is this what other are receiving regarding pickup? I had actually hoped it would not be touchless, in hopes it would be easier to get help with any "issues". BTW this is 2 days earlier than I was told just yesterday.

"."

We picked ours up at Superior today. There were 3 or 4 people getting Ys at the same time and a truck pulling up with even more of them. The experience isn't totally "touchless". They leave the documents to sign in the car and give you time to read through them and check out everything inside/outside the car. There were several reps running around checking in with us multiple times and they took photos to document the three minor issues we found with the car.

I cant believe you didnt go around and write down all the VINs that were in Superior for us on TMC (and the ones on the truck pulling in). Do you even love us anymore? ;-)

Who is gonna stop by tomorrow and do a full inventory for the rest of us?

In theory my MSM MY will be at Denver Littleton tomorrow. When I called on Wednesday the delivery specialist said it was on the move. Assuming 11 hr/day driving (they can do 11 after a 10 hour break-- up to 14hrs in 24). That puts it there late today or early tomorrow. Will call my delivery specialist tomorrow to verify its arrival.

Then it is 1-7 days before it is in NM. All depends on when it leaved Littleton by truck given it is only 6 hours to Santa Fe. Might get lucky and see it before EoD Monday. If anyone visiting Littleton tomorrow sees an AWD/MSM/20" with a 0175xx VIN let me know :).

Got my Vin yesterday and the pick up scheduled for Saturday 2:30pm in Superior SC. I've ordered MSM/BLK PUP with TOW no FSD. VIN 16xxx. I'm going to replace my Ubertine wheels with 19". I hope the car comes with no mechanical or bodywork issues. I will keep you poste
We’re supposed to take delivery tomorrow afternoon in Superior. So we’ll see how it goes. Will report back.
I see at the bottom of your message it lists your current car as a model X. Would be interested to get your thoughts/comparison between the Y and the X.

Sure. Actually just removed the X from my sig... I sold it yesterday.

Only a few hours away from our Model Y, hopefully. I know there are some comparisons between X and Y already out there. Although it seems the couple I've seen are a bit weird. I don't necessarily agree with many people in regards to various characteristics of the X. We owned the X for a bit over 4 years. Amazing vehicle, kinda sad to see it go. We just felt it was time to get rid of the X as the value has been plummeting rapidly on the early 2016's as there is no way to upgrade any of the tech inside of them. So the plan is to see how it works out with the Model Y for a bit. I do see a good chance of another Model X in our future, I'm anxious to see what gets announced for Battery Day and what the next big upgrades to the X platform might be.

So more info coming after we take delivery of the Y.

Awesome, thanks! Yeah I have seen some of the reviews but thought it would be interesting to get the perspective of someone who previously owned for a while.

Good luck on your delivery, i hope it goes smoothly!

Ha, I’m in almost the exact same boat as you! In Los Alamos instead of SF, though

Background: I have a MY order originally 4/22/20 with Littleton SC and then added a second MY to Superior SC a month later to see if it made a difference (the experiment was worth the extra $100 to see if something came faster to a different SC). Was suppose to have the MY delivered on Monday June 29th to Superior (my SECOND order)....

Got a call from Superior SC. No surprise. My car went to Tampa and wont come back to colorado for a couple of weeks and wont be there for Monday Delivery (they say they dont typically ship east to west). Superior SC suggested I just get a new VIN and that would come faster. She says a lot of performance vehicles are coming there way. So i agreed and hung up. 30 seconds later, I get a text message from Littleton SC (my ORIGINAL tesla order from a month earlier) saying i have been scheduled for delivery on TUESDAY JUNE 30th. What? I hadnt even gotten a VIN for that Littleton order nor heard any texts, calls or confirmations regarding that car (same configuration by the way). Called Littleton and they said they have a huge order coming in tomorrrow evening and I absolutely need to come in on Tuesday or I will have my VIN given to someone else (in other words, I cant change the time or day of delivery). Checked my Tesla account and sure enough I have VIN for my Littleton order (23xxx). Superior order (the one I had been communicating about for 3 weeks is VIN 18xxx (soon to be removed by Superior). Sooooo, in the span of 5 minutes, I have my original order being fullfilled in Littleton and my Superior order being reassigned. What a crazy world we live in. And Telsa is the craziest. 11:30 Tuesday the 30th I will "hopefully" pick up MSM/white/Perf/FSD/Towhitch in Littleton. Anyone waiting for that vehicle without a towhitch can grab mine in Superior (not canceling that order until I have my Littleton MY in possession)

FWIW, Superior SC associate said that the VINs that are 17xxx, 18xxx,19xxx, 20xxx appear to have fewer panel gap, paint and seat issues than even the ones from 13xxx and 14xxx. She also said that they have been working hard at trying to correct as much as they can on their cars, so if you are getting a vehicle from Superior, you seem to be in good hands. I have had nothing but good experiences with FOUR of their associates (TJ, Jeff, John and someone else I cant remember the name). Good luck to you Superior SC purchasers!

And for the Littleton delivery people, that place seems like it is quite busy. According the associate I spoke with today, they have "12 deliveries per hour on Monday and Tuesday" and there was no way to change the time of my pick up (who needs to go to work anyway?!!!)

I received a call today from Littleton, my car is still in CA, and they need to move me from Saturday(tomorrow) to Tuesday. I mentioned touchless and checking the car and speaking to someone if there are issues. He also indicated they are not seeing many issues with the latest cars. I live in hope!

So I took delivery of my White on White, LR AWD, 20” Induction, FSD Model Y. I am happy to report that VIN #1759x is flawless in every way except for two small things. One is a non-issue, it’s the directional paint matching of the bumper. Which is very slight, only visible in some lighting conditions from certain angles. And since that is something that plagues cars across the industry, even on Porsche and Mercedes, I can’t complain. It’s not a color mismatch, it’s a directional mismatch with multi coat paints. The other small issue is the right side 2nd row seat sits up a few millimeters higher than the middle and left side. This seems to plague every Model Y out there. They are aware of it and Tesla may have a fix for it at some point, maybe. And the fix will probably be removing the middle and left side and re-setting them with 2mm thick washers or shims. Honestly, no one is going to notice unless they’re specifically looking for this issue.

But other than that, it’s flawless. I drove the not quite 15 minute trip home and tucked it into the garage just before our severe thunderstorm hit. There was a software update and it’s installing now.

Initial impressions comparing to my 2016 Model X. It’s smaller and more maneuverable. Definitely more agile on the road. Noticeably less road noise. My X was a P90D, so the new Y as an LR AWD isn’t as super quick if I just step on it from a dead stop, but it’s still plenty quick for a daily driver. I know I only had about 15 minutes behind the wheel, but this thing is fun to drive.

Quite a few Model Y’s on the lot. I didn’t stay and investigate all due to the weather. A transport truck showed up empty while I was there and they started loading up cars. They had an older Model S with the nose cone loaded first and they were starting to load another car when I was pulling away. So looks like they were moving CPO/ Inventory cars.

Model Y’s I spotted on the lot: A couple more white ones, one with white interior and Gemini wheels. A few blue ones, one blue/white PUP. An all black. And a Red/black w/ Gemini. The Red one still had the white protective wrap on it.
