What color is your car, I need a new hood
It is a special blend of khaki and puke green that can only be custom ordered. Steal away, my friend!

I don't think a "good" repo man would take a car to a chop shop.A good repo man could grab one in two minutes, take it to a chop shop or stick it in a shipping container.
Yea, their claim is a bit disingenuous. The problem isn't Tesla-specific; it's people falling victim to social engineering in general. It is not just a Tesla problem but also for all security systems that only needs a user name and password such as your e-mail, brokerage account...
Sounds like someone stole another Tesla on 9/4:

Fob was 'lost' so likely thieves had the fob. Too bad the Tesla App doesn't have a button to press to notify Tesla the car is stolen so they can deactivate the car (e.g. lower the max speed to 20 mph or something) remotely. I assume Tesla doesn't have this type of thing in the app now for liability reasons in case the remote services gateway is ever hacked and someone causes a 'mass shutdown' of all Model S which wouldn't look good in the news.
Can you at least put it into valet mode while it's moving to at least prevent them from going to fast?
...Tesla can disable supercharging and other features of the car making it obsolete....
1) Thieves may not be that knowledgeable
2) Supercharger disabled but AC charging still functional. Inconvenient but drive-able.
3) Obsolete but still drive-able.
4) In Europe, they tend to tear a Tesla down to sell as spare parts.
There are still plentiful reasons to steal a Tesla.
