I only did the Performance Upgrade as I wanted nicer wheels than aeros, a spoiler and red brakes. The package was easier than buying a new set of tires and wheels, getting the brakes painted , buying a spoiler and trying to sell the aeros. This is my fun car. I agree a few track nights would really be icing on the cake for this daily driver. Track days are brutal as I’ve seen In exotics, $30k carbon ceramics go up in smoke in one outing. However to each his own and I’m sure could be fun. My only hope is that we of the performance chassis are unlocked at some point via “track mode” into the 10’s. The 3 would then truly achieve the buzz Tesla is after in the + model.
Mine will be used as my commuter during the week, and the occasional weekend track day. I had mine on a track (1/8th mile) within 10 days of ownership. It's great advertising for Tesla and EVs as you're smoking all the loud gas cars.
Daily driver, but my daily drive is a twisty canyon with a few thousand feet of elevation drop/gain, so it can be pretty entertaining when clear. I plan to autox a bit, probably a few 1/4 mile runs, likely no track use.
No, I don't plan on driving on tracks. I can't imagine the cute Model 3 wearing away on track.
I mainly got the performance upgrade package for the red brake. I like the range of Aero wheels but I don't like look of it. I can only tolerate it if I get MSM color.
