Just for clarity, I got an email last Friday morning from the leasing company with the date and time for delivery, and i just got an SMS from Tesla confirming my appointment for Thursday this week.

Got a call from the leasing company - as they emailed and i was on leave - actually talking to a human that knew something was nice.
10 mins after the call where i confirmed i was looking forward to my delivery - looks like i'll have to be 500km away at a funeral 1 hour after my appointment... just how fast are these LR's?

I did say I got my VIN this morning, but that was getting a SMS saying a Model 3 has been assigned to my order and finding the hidden VIN.
My Tesla account does not have any shown VIN or any information saying a VIN has been assigned yet.

Has anyone had any luck securing an interstate vehicle? I’m keeping my eye out for my spec in inventory in other states and just wondering if switching interstate is even a thing!I thought I saw the same model I ordered today in VIC. I rang instantly eager to grab it up. Then while I was on the phone...I noticed it had a white interior
At least the guy on the phone was understanding and I apologised for wasting his time.
He did tell me that I might not be that far off getting one... whatever that means.

Only if the car says it can be registered in multiple states, and that normally only happens if eg the car is destined for Victoria - then it can be purchased in SA and TAS as well, as cars for those states arrive at Port Melbourne.
My car just appeared as registered on the VicRoads website (using a VIN Search). Slimline B&W plates too, based on the rego number (CGZxxx)

Just checked ... It did change same dates as you mentioned. I was really hoping to get it sooner especially since I already saw my VIN in RAV. But looks like that is not an indicator on delivery date.
That is quite incorrect. Tesla's track record is to upload all the VIN on the boat on their first arrival at an Australian port, it could be Melbourne/Brisbane etc. and take extra time to get to Sydney for example.
Also have an inflight order move from Apr 18-May 9 to May 7-May 28, so looks like we're on the same boat *literally*
