Now both cars got VIN assigned! Both coming in Jan.

Model 3 Red - Jan 14 - Feb 4 th
Model Y White - Jan 29 - Feb 19th

Ah well..looks like NL companies will be busy in next few weeks. Time to get all paperwork sorted

@everyone receiving your vins - have you all finished your payment method in the pre delivery section? I was waiting to secure finance closer to my delivery date as it can expire so a 3 month window delivery was too wide for me to be guaranteed an approval would cover the time range. Just wondering if that’s my last hiccup to finish to get my vin…

Yes you need to have all that completed

In the App you go to the "Vehicle Details" in blue under your RN.

If it still says waiting VIN assignment though it may be still coming. Hang tight, they all seem to be flowing through now.

Fingers crossed it won't be too far away, they seem to be sending a LOT of ships down under. I think everything is just in a shambles due to the stinkship fiasco.

Nothing for us yet. Though we only ordered on Dec 21, and it’s a LR through Chatswood. Still showing Feb-Apr though all these VIN assignments made me hopeful.

No VIN either, ordered 6 Nov and have seen plenty after me get a VIN. Must be Chatswood only allocated a handful

I cant remember the exact process but I was able to get approval through CBA without a VIN a few weeks ago, using the online application system. I don't think it will delay you getting your VIN, my payment section was still showing as 'pending' yesterday morning and I received my EDD and VIN regardless.

Once you have completed the application, CBA and Tesla need to talk as a final step before the finance section will show as completed, that hadn't happened for me so I spoke to Tesla and they manually updated it to 'approved' yesterday (after the VIN had come through).

It appears that the Firmament Ace might be heading to Japan after it is done in Korea before it comes to Aus, I may have actually preferred not having a VIN yet and being blissfully unaware of the global adventures of the ship.

You’ll still be allocated a VIN without that section being completed, don’t worry. Pretty sure it doesn’t need to be done for your order to progress.
