AWDs on the way to Canada?!?

Reserved April 2016

Non-performance AWD, metallic blue, premium interior black, 19" wheels, no EAP or FSD

No VIN or call/email from a DA but today my account asked for application for financial/credit information (I am financing thru Tesla), I filled it in but no information on financing rate according to length of term. Got confirmation that they received it and will contact me within 24 hours.

Hoping this means I'll get a DA call or email soon and a VIN.

Are most financing with their own bank or thru Tesla? When I called TD/CT they didn't have rates better than Tesla.

Thanks everyone, hope you all enjoy the new wheels and congrats to all who received the rebate. I was one of those who switched to AWD (my preference anyway) because I didn't think I would get the rebate on the RWD.

So, I saw some progress today. My account got updated with a delivery date, but the place isn't specified. Still haven't heard back from the initial email blast last week. Curious if others have seen a similar update about their AWD deliveries?

For both Krakhaus and pcons, my process has been the same as yours. Credit app, approved in the same day, then delivery date (Sept 18) showed up in my account on Thursday last week. I haven't heard anything since, no email, no phone call, which also means no VIN.

Given your proposed delivery date is on the 18th, you should be getting an update before anyone else (one would hope). Please keep up updated.

Did you try calling telsa to see if you have a VIN?

I called on saturday and was told I have a VIN, but that she couldn't give it to me and that my DA would call me back and provide that info. A bit strange how she said I had one (she was looking at my file and commented 'how exciting, you have a VIN!')....so at least I had one on saturday, but I'm a bit nervous that they wouldn't 'commit' and tell me what it was.

I called Tesla today and I got a VIN but they did not give any information about my delivery status as they don't see any DA assigned to me yet and suggested me to call local Oakville showroom. I called Oakville show room and they told that based on my VIN number the car is expected to deliver in October delivery but probably not in this September batch which lot of you guys getting emails. I asked speificaly if the car is in Canada but he did not tell me if it is in Canada or on the way or yet to be delivered other than saying that it will mostly be delivered in October.

I have updates! I just got that call! And guess what the car is in Calgary and my pickup date is Wednesday almost a full week before my posted delivery date! Wow doesn't feel real.

He said I should expect an email with my VIN right away.

Today was the day! I went to pick up my car in Calgary, but I had to delay delivery due to a few issues. They're keeping the car to fix them and hopefully it will be ready in a few days.

I had a dirt or dust particle underneath the paint on the front passenger quarter panel that was a noticeable bump. There was a rather large bump on the driver side weather stripping that looked quite bad. I know it would really bother me looking at it every time I open the driver door. Last issue was some delivery tape or something that was left on the passenger side rocker panel between the two doors.

Other than that the car looked amazing. Panel gaps were good. Hopefully I get it back in a few days. The Delivery Specialists were quite understanding and apologetic.

While talking to the Delivery Specialist, the told me they are expecting to get slammed for the next 2 months with deliveries in Calgary. They are expecting about 200 cars in the next couple of months. While I was there, a trailer full of Model 3's was being off loaded.

I had my delivery moved from September 15th to today. I had to refuse delivery for the reasons noted above. From what I gather, you're better off getting it sooner than later as they are going to get slammed with delivers very soon. I had lots of time to inspect my vehicle, as they only had 2 delivers today. They told me they will be doing about 20 per day by this weekend.

Good luck with your delivery.

So, I got emailed today by a local delivery specialist in Toronto and he confirmed my pickup will be at the IC and not Oakville. Cool with me.

I was in meetings all afternoon so didn't get the message until 6pm. Emailed back right away asking for a VIN, hopefully will hear back tomorrow with a confirmed VIN.

$hit is getting real!

Wonder if I will get an email as well with a location change. I am scheduled to pick up in Oakville on Sept 29...

I had the same dust particle in my rear bumper today. They ground it down on the spot and added some touch up paint. That's about all they could do. Panel gaps were ok, but not great.
