Baking Season for the holidays. What's your favourite recipe?

I have many, but this one takes the cake.

I made a Gum Drop Cake the other week and snapped some pictures. (recipe included in image gallery).

Baking Season Time. Gum Drop Cake. A favourite from childhood cooking from my Nanny.

And oh, you gotta love electric motors, my handed down mixer is still ticking!

For baking, spritz butter cookies definitely!

However, while a bit off topic, I really recommend home made filled chocolates. You need a tempering machine unless you're a French chocolatier, but chocolates filled with brandy flavored gnash are really a holiday treat! I make peanut butter and jam milk chocolate ones for kids - be sure to check for peanut allergies though!

I've had these for Christmas morning for many years! Amazing amazing. Maybe time to start a new tradition. You can make it and have them ready the night before and proofed to bake just in time for breakfast.
