I would love to do this on our X. How much time did it take you? Also, did you plasti-dip the wheels or were they already this color?

I also combo dipped and wrapped in vinyl.

I wrapped around the window trim and the handles.

The rest is self dipped. I did not think the dip looked good when looking close up around the windows. Satin Vinyl is much smoother.

Spray each side 5 mins
Drying time: 1 hr
Cleanup 1 hour

Wheels were not dipped. Get the dip from the orange home improvement store, cheaper than automotive parts stores.

dipyourcar.com occasionally has deals. I just purchased black the other day for $3.95 a can. I've been keeping an eye out since I won't be taking delivery for like another month.

Did you need to remove mirrors to spray? I have wrapped everything else chrome, but afraid mirrors will need spraying due to movement.

Did not have to remove mirrors to spray, just tape them up well.
