Blind Spot Detection Disabled briefly at 88 mph

Not sure if this is some sort of homage to "Back to the Future" but, during a recent drive on I-5, I hit 88+ mph for short bursts of time and, on every occasion, the "Blind Spot Detection Disabled" alert popped up on the dash for a second and went away, even at higher speeds.

What gives?!

I've seen it disabled as low as 80mph. But other times at 85mph it wasn't disabled. Very odd behavior

There is no blind spot detection in back to the future.

I drive pretty fast , most the time above 88 and get that warning all the time.

I've seen the warning at those speeds, too. I just figured that at such velocities the detection was not to be trusted, most likely because of a likely speed difference between my car and those whom I was passing.

I was going to post something today. It's happened to me several times, and usually around 70-75 Mph on the highway, exactly when I'd want Blind Spot Detection to be active.

Is this a bug?

I do like the Back to the Future reference btw.

Yes it is disabled after speed exceeds 140km/h.

Forgot at what MPH it disables, but it's listed in the manual.

Mine disables at 80mph. Every time.
