He thought within 2 days of assembly, so likely right after Christmas. He did say +/- 48 hours though.

I used the chat function at tesla.com/drive and the person in the chat said someone would call me shortly. ended up being a couple hours later but they were able to answer my question.

Not necessarily true. I ordered 10/18 and someone with my exact build at my DC who ordered in November for a vin today and nothing for me.
what is the Carlsbad office telling you ? assuming its Carlsbad . I am Dec1 order and they keep saying EOY
They keep telling me “you will get your car soon. For sure by EOY” blah blah blah
oh ok!! I guess that means there is hope! The anticipation is killing me!

Same! I just got off the chat with someone AGAIN and they are asking me to give it until Monday for a vin. I also just texted my SA so we will see what she says. This has turned into a terrible buying experience.
10 days left before EOY. Staying optimistic and can't wait to get my M3 but can't help be a little on edge. Ordered in October for Fremont delivery and no VIN and no delivery date as of now. Getting way too antsy for a vehicle.....

So.... I’m very frustrated with Tesla. I ordered 10/21 black on black performance model 3. At the end of the week AFTER my estimated delivery... still no VIN. Leaving on vacation on Monday.
Saw a few vehicles matching my EXACT trim on the inventory site for Fremont... called them to try and get a match and they told me those cars with VINs aren’t built yet and even though I don’t have a VIN mine should get built first. Spoke with the manager and asked if someone else could take my delivery for me as I was told when first purchasing the car. Told me that was illegal in California. Sooooo.... looks like I’m not getting my car before the end of the year folks
