@Tanflado from the 1st of April 2017 the government are changing the entire road tax system. Cars bought from April onwards will be subject to new tax levels starting at £130 even for hybrid or low emissions. The only cars to remain tax free will be pure electric. Which sounds good until you here there will be a second car tax called a premium car tax payable on all cars over 40k in purchase value.
The ammount you pay will be £310 for 5 years which basically means your now back paying road tax. Hence if you can get your order delivered before April you will save lots of cash and it will help resale against a car delivered after the change.

Hi Cookielover ,yes I had heard they were changing the road tax system but it hadn't registered to me that this would effect Tesla vehicles, thanks for the heads up as this will now change my requested delivery date . I am speaking to my Tesla sales specialist today regarding spec and delivery so this will be an important consideration.

Wow now that is a road trip..........I`m not sure my balls would be big enough to take on something like that?? Being towed to recharge is a pretty cool idea though, not sure what out traffic police would have to say about that though??!!

Great to have a UK model X group. i ordered white 90D black wheels. I can't decide colour either black, white or midnight silver. I like midnight silver but white will be more eyes catching. May be i will change the colour later before the cooling off period. The white colour MX in weybridge showroom is so cool. Initially i can't decide between a range rover or Model X.
