20% sides and rear

XPEL XR 20% in side windows. Now rear too. No sunroof area tinted. Use sunroof cover in summertime.

Didn’t do rear for months but couldn’t take it. All my cars have been tinted and I hated the back was clear. Didn’t want to do the half tint either. 20% is perfect imo. Not too dark but dark enough.

Much happier with rear tinted along with sides. A good shop shouldn’t have issues installing a 60” one piece rear tint.

$280 for sides, $200 for rear.

I’ll take my chances with the possible rear window crack “issue”. ‘22 M3 LR

I have regular carbon tint on our other car and a good amount of difference with the XPEL XR. The XR plus is probably even better.

XPEL XR Plus 15% all around. 50% windshield. 50 % “sunroof”. I love it and heat rejection is maximum.

In my experience, the main reason tint shops can't do the rear window in one piece is because they don't carry the rolls of film in sizes large enough to cover the entire window. So some shops may have 3M Crystalline in the large rolls, but not 3M Ceramic IR, and vice versa. Just have to contact different shops to see what they have to offer.
