Can’t decide on tint. Appreciate input and pics.

Just got a 2023 model 3 in black. Going to get windows tinted but can’t decide which 3M product to use. The installer said they can only do a single piece on the back window if I use 3M but they also said that it has a brownish hue. The IR supposedly doesn’t have the brown hie but they can only do it in two pieces. Does this make sense? Definitely don’t want brown tint but I want the better product.

I could also use help deciding how much tint. I will definitely Italy go 70% on the front but how dark have you all done in the back? Would love some pics especially on the black car.

F1 Stratos. 70% on windshield, 50% side and 35% everywhere else. 15% visor strip added since photos were taken.

I live in Miami, Fl. Did Nano ceramic IR Plus 5% shade all around. Front windshield shade 20% and roof shade 70%. The roof was the main thing I noticed I wanted the least heat rejection as I noticed the sun during the summer would bake the car and my head. Spend the money on the higher IR and UV. It will be well worth it.

I did 40% windshield and 5% all other windows. You can see it’s pretty dark and I have white seats. If I had to go again today I would do 15% on all windows and a 35% windshield. IMO the darker the tint the better the car looks. I used to have 3% and a 20% windshield on my trucks so you can say I like it dark.

"I did 20% on just the four door windows (and the triangle window behind the rear doors). I did not tint the front/rear windshield or the glass on the roof." That is what I’m thinking of doing also. How does it look not having the rear and front windows tinted?

I did this same thing. To be honest, I don't notice the rear window not being tinted at all. In fact, I'm kind of glad it's not, the 20% on the sides makes the sideview mirrors really hard and hard to see at night.

The rearview still works good at night so that's OK. With the sides only, you get that tint look and still get a lot of privacy.

For the front Window, most people get nearly clear film so no impact there (except for heat). I should also note I have the Tesla sun screens for the roof, which was another reason I didn't bother to tint the rear.

Looks great with the dark tints. Did you do the rear windshield also?
