Can I save the tire or it needs a full replacement?

If it can be saved by a repair… should I look out for something?

Can I go to any shop?

Not fancying spending £175-£200 for a new tire! 🫣

Yes, most punctures through the tread can be, its only the side wall they can't repair.
As long as you have not filled it with gunk repair, you should be ok - £20 normally

Just forget about most of the "chain" tyre places - they'll refuse to repair it as it's got the acoustic lining.
Some independents will do it, some won't.
The usual reason for refusing to repiar is the extra time it takes to peel out the lining costs more than they charge for the repair.

Probably too late now, but redpath tyres have previously repaired punctures right on the corner for me. Have to be sent away for a different process, costs a little more, but still better than a new tyre.

Why don't they just quote for the extra time? It's a rhetorical question BTW :D
