Canadian Performance Deliveries

I haven't seen any job postings pop up for another mass delivery, so based off I don't anticipate seeing anything until September the earliest.
I think that's more so due to not having the shear number of deliveries outstanding vs the original push they made. They definitely made a big dent in the list in June and I just don't believe there are as many people still waiting so they should be able to do them at the West 4th location in YVR.

When I was at the Sherway store last week, they said they weren't out but the sales guy told me he'd put me on the list for a Test drive once they arrived. I haven't got a call yet.
Same here. I was told they arrive this week. The test drive model.

As for actual deliveries.. I haven't heard of any yet. Although, I suspect it'll be late September based on all the minor rumblings I've been hearing.

Last I heard, AWD and P orders vastly outnumbered RWD orders. That's US and Canada combined. Outstanding Canadian orders will definitely be more skewed towards the AWD models so there's at least the same amount people waiting for AWD compared to the number of RWD delivered in Canada already. Canadian models need to be modified to comply with Canadian regulations. Tesla likes to make their car in batches, so it only makes sense for them to batch the Canadian orders (at least for the AWD/P models).

What markings should we expect on these variants to identify P and AWD ?

You mean something like this:

Tesla-MOdel-3-performance-dual-motor-badge.jpg

The badge is put on at the service center and not at the factory. The AWD will have the DUAL MOTOR badge and the performance will have that plus the red line underneath it like the picture Funkmobile posted.

Just throwing this out there but if anyone who ordered a Performance 3 with the Performance Upgrade Pack that doesn't want their spoiler, please PM me. I'll be looking to purchase one.

Thank you.

Rpmtesla sells them. Saw a YouTube video where the model 3 owner said it's the same one that the p comes with... No idea how they would know that...

They do havd a cool looking handle sort of thing that hangs off the read license plate to give you something to grip when closing the trunk. I'll probably pick one of those up after I get my vin

I thought the rpm tesla one was different, especially since they released theirs before the Performance model even debuted.

I would prefer and oem one and to grab it locally if possible. I know some owners in the USA are selling theirs since they don't like it and figured maybe someone in Canada might not like theirs either. Worth a shot.

Tell you what: I'll upgrade my order to a performance version, and I'll sell you the spoiler for 10k, I'll even deliver it :)

Going in for a test drive this afternoon at the Vancouver 4th Ave store. Delivery advisor said that they only had LR RWD test car available for now to test drive and no AWD delivered yet when I scheduled my appointment earlier this week. Will ask if there is any new info on deliveries when I’m there today...my Delivery Specialist is quite honest with me as I’ve gotten 2 S’s and an X from him in the past.

Sweet I should call them up for a test drive. I signed up online way back but no one has contacted me since.

Went for my test drive of the 3LR today and also saw two RWD 3’s being delivered. A red one with 19” wheels and a blue one with 18” aeros. I noticed a few other 3’s in the underground lot that didn’t have plates yet and probably awaiting the new owners for delivery. The DS said they are expecting the AWD cars to show up sometime in September.

There is definitely good head and legroom for adults in the back. We had 5 people in the 3 including my 9 year old son. I would definitely go with an AWD or P3D for the extra power since 80% of my mileage is on freeways. The 3LR RWD isn’t a slouch, but I’m used to driving my S90D or X100D without the lag when hitting the accelerator. The fit and finish looked good for the showroom car and the test drive car too...no uneven panel gaps and paint looked fine.

Now I have make a decision to trade in the S90D for a P3D before Sept 16 for free supercharging or wait a few years for another S refresh or redesign.

Did you call in or did you sign up online for the test drive?

Do you plan on referring yourself for the supercharging or do you needs someone referral code? *wink* wink* *nudge* *nudge* :D

This goes with what I consistently said that they are delivering cars every day and it’s just a fraction of people that are here on forums. The vast majority of people order a car and carry on until they get it. They don’t join forums or Facebook groups.
