Yeah I was just able to schedule a mobile service for it for my 2015 MS.Only for the 3/Y. It is still there for the S&X, where it is currently available. (Will other than due the really old ones.)

Look at it on the bright side, at least you bought after heat pumps were introduced, just in case you ever decide to something monumentally stupid and move somewhere miserably cold.I find it frustrating that Model 3s shipped both before and after mine have had CCS support, but mine didn't- and I will have to pay to get it.
I’m on the same boat as well.I find it frustrating that Model 3s shipped both before and after mine have had CCS support, but mine didn't- and I will have to pay to get it.
But that’s only for S and X.In case you're trying to find it, it is under "Upgrade & Accessories"
Same situation, might thought is to at least ask if they'll comp it it considering the weird gap.I find it frustrating that Model 3s shipped both before and after mine have had CCS support, but mine didn't- and I will have to pay to get it.
Yeah I was thinking about that too, seems relatively easy but I don't know about the warrantyI've got the adapter but maybe don't want to wait until H2 for Tesla to make the retrofit available for Model Ys.
How to enable CCS1 adapter/NACS support on older Model 3/Ys now without waiting for Tesla
In order to use non-Tesla DC fast chargers from networks such as Electrify America or ChargePoint, your older Model 3/Y will still need to have CCS enabled (i.e. DIY retrofit) regardless if the plug is NACS or CCS1. Only difference is the CCS1 Adapter is not needed if it is a NACS plug. This...www.2muchsun.com
I came across this DIY. Anyone know for sure if installing myself will *not* violate the warranty?
Tesla never advertised the capability, most likely because they knew the supply chain was fragile. They, most likely, won't comp it.Same situation, might thought is to at least ask if they'll comp it it considering the weird gap.
Don't you have to be at a service center to do this? I thought I read that a while back (that although you can get into the service menu, it won't do a software reload unless it sees you are at a SC)...You should be able to just trigger a software reload from the Service menu. The process of refreshing the software triggers the Tesla Mothership to know your car is CCS Enabled. (At least it did when I upgraded mine...)
Just had mine done by a mobile ranger. No deal for me - $477 with tax. But in under an hour in time, in my garage, versus driving 1.5 hours each way to get to my nearest SC. Also pretty impressed with the build quality of the adapter. Expected a cheap piece of plastic. It's hefty...I rescheduled my mobile appointment to a Service Center visit at the new Ann Arbor MI location. I was in and out in about two hours, Best of all, my bill was $307 due to some mix up. I headed straight to a Shell branded CCS charger and everything worked flawlessly.

Nope. They removed the geo-fence restriction a while back.Don't you have to be at a service center to do this? I thought I read that a while back (that although you can get into the service menu, it won't do a software reload unless it sees you are at a SC)...

Why would they have a 'separate' category? I just added CCS as an acceptable/custom plug type. Any CCS fast charger should work...I'd like to add something that may help people out there. Now, you can search for Tesla CSS chargers from Plugshare. I just checked their new category map page: Tesla CCS Locations
I mean a separate filter to check CSS locations. Why would they have a 'separate' category? I just added CCS as an acceptable/custom plug type. Any CCS fast charger should work...
cCs! CSS is cascading style sheets--a typo I often make myself.I mean a separate filter to check CSS locations.
Oh, now I see what you are saying - Supercharger locations that have the MagicDock. Useless for a Tesla vehicle but good to know for other DCFC CCS vehicles...I mean a separate filter to check CSS locations.
