Center Screen Could move on Rail System???

I posted this idea in another thread, but will repeat it here... How about just add a small connector on the blank dash area where a more traditional display would be located, and let the 3rd party companies have at it? A miniature version of the OBDII port (power + isolated copy of the CAN bus) would be perfect to create a variety of snap-in displays, customized to whatever market they choose. Even make is slide sideways, if you want. Just a thought...

Another simple option would be having the center display hinged so it could at least be tilted toward the driver or if you wanted toward the passenger.

Yes, but auto-on with the car, and with access to the vehicle's telematics information. And, attached to the car without Velcro. Ideally something that would be useless without the car attached to it (theft deterrent).

That said, I am certain that there will be a new thread, posted microseconds the first car is delivered, detailing what size tablet will fit in that space.
