ClearPlex anti-smash and grab on side + rear?

Is it worth it to get ClearPlex on the side/rear windows to deter the epidemic of smash-and-grabs? There are videos on YouTube that look pretty convincing.

I've heard bad things about the longevity of this film, but if you're not putting it on the windshield (no wipers scratching it) does it last a reasonable amount of time?

I am not familiar with the product specifically bit just from a practical perspective I can see a film helping with rock hits and the like but if they are using a hammer or something larger I think they will still break the window the film will just stop them from getting in.

Real solution is get law enforcement to aggressively prosecute CRIME, but that is a big ugly political thing.

My 2c: I have zero experience with ClearPlex, but plenty of experience with PPF. It lasts for years and years taking a lot of abuse on the nose of the car. Should last forever on the side windows.... which is where I've put it.
