Ok then we have work to do. We ALL, not only the Governments but also the people, must do all the efforts that are necessary in the fight against the Climate Change issue to prevent that Florida goes under water.
Some people think the US might be better off if Florida was under water. :)
No more "Florida Man".

Florida Man is an Internet meme first popularized in 2013,[1] referring to an alleged prevalence of people performing irrational or maniacal actions in the U.S. state of Florida. Internet users typically submit links to news stories and articles about unusual or strange crimes and other events occurring in Florida, with stories' headlines often beginning with "Florida Man..." followed by the main event of the story.[2] Because of the way news headlines are typically written, they can be creatively interpreted as implying that the subjects of the articles are all a single individual known as "Florida Man".

It all started from my thought of wanting to save Florida but I guess that sometimes we can have fun also in this thread 🙂
Actually I wanted to point out the fact that, because of the gravity of the Climate Change issue we cannot rely only on our Governments to work it out, but each single person has to do his best to help.
In fact the result of our efforts could be that of saving Florida which really could go under water because of the Climate Change issue.

At COP28 the need to “transition away from fossil fuels” may finally have been recognised after three decades of climate talks, but there is no clear obligation or hard timetable to achieve this.

The remnants of Tropical Cyclone Jasper brought intense rain and flooding to several towns in Australia’s northeastern region of Queensland. About 24 inches of rain fell on the city of Cairns in a span of 40 hours, which is more than triple the December average, according to Reuters. At least 12,000 people are without power, and officials are worried residents could lose access to drinking water. Rescue teams responded to more than 350 callouts. “We have people stuck on roofs there that have been there all night,” says Queensland Premier Steven Miles

More than 3 million Americans have relocated to avoid flood risk over the last two decades or so, according to a new report by data nonprofit First Street Foundation. The analysis underscores the extent to which climate migration is already happening in America, albeit on a hyper-local level. People are moving short distances within their own cities, creating “Climate Abandonment Areas” – whole neighborhoods that are seeing large population losses due to flooding caused by climate change.

Taking baby steps when we need to be running a marathon.

Environmentalists with stock in oil companies. A vocal social media critic with hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in the owners of Facebook and YouTube. Union-backed Democrats making money off the very companies whose worker policies they’ve criticized. A third of the members in the California Legislature collectively reported at least $14 million worth of investments on their most recent financial disclosures — but their stocks don’t always align with their political values, a Times analysis found.

No sir if ALL of Greenland were to melt that would be about 24'. The highest point in Florida is 345' Even Orlando at 89' is quite safe. A problem yes, but lets not exaggerate.
Yes, sorry. I was conflating Greenland melt with global warming melt.
Here's a good study

Looks like they have some time.
(My daughter lives on an island in Biscayne Bay. Storm surge is the main problem now.)

A lot of heterogeneity among the United States in CO2 emissions per capita:

I like this pic. Don't know how it has been got, but it's important to detect the Carbon fluxes, that is to say the direction and rate of transfer, or flow, of carbon between Earth's carbon pools, such as the oceans, atmosphere, land, and other living things, in order to understand how to intervene to decrease Carbon Emissions.
