Does anyone have any Stats to see what is the most popular color?
Go to ModelXTracker.com
I asked when I took delivery and they said white and black are the most popular by far
My guess is that Signature Red is the most popular color, but this will not show in the statistics for obvious reasons...
Signature Red (Signature)81/840 (9.6%)
White (Solid)62/840 (7.4%)
Black (Solid)55/840 (6.5%)
Titanium (Metallic)87/840 (10.4%)
Midnight Silver (Metallic)121/840 (14.4%)
Obsidian Black (Metallic)71/840 (8.5%)
Deep Blue (Metallic)161/840 (19.2%)
Silver (Metallic)43/840 (5.1%)
Pearl White (Multi-Coat)101/840 (12%)
Red (Multi-Coat)58/840 (6.9%)
From Model X tracker configuration report.
Despite the statistics from the tracker, there have been relatively few pictures posted of blue Model X in the wild or by people taking delivery. I would be hesitant to believe those percentages.
One of the reason the plain black and white are as popular is they are free. In general the three most popular colors for cars are black, white.and silver.
I believe the red multi-coat and Blue metallic are both striking paint colors. The white multi-coat adds real depth to the white.
I think the reason more people didn't get the red multi-coat is there was confusion with the two red colors. The red multi-coat and the signature red. The signature red is a blue red where the multi-coat is an orange red.
I am very pleased with the Titanium Metalic. I think it looks very rich and changes color based on lighting conditions. I have three Model 3 on order. Since we already have a Titabium Metalic my first choice will be red multi-coat followed by blue metallic and then white multi-coat in that order.
