Complimentary Model S Extended Warranty and prepaid service. Legit ?

I bought a MS 75D in December and got overcharged by $ 4500 Tesla . Instead of a refund Service Manager send me a new set of wheels( which I don't need) but also included complimentary extended warranty and three years of annual maintenance. this does not show up in my account but Manager has assured me that its visible on the back end and will be honored by all tesla service centers. He did send me an email to be used if there is any doubt about the authenticity.

I am sounding out the forum to see if anyone has had similar experience and this is legit.

They gave me 2 years complimentary maintenance also. I wondered the same thing about not having it in writing. They said it will show in the account and not to worry about it.

Seems like quite a reasonable offer by Tesla. Just get the offer in writing and enjoy your car.

Service manager said it was hard to get refund becuase my vehicle vin got registered in DMV with 21 inch tires. He did say that he would still try if i did not accept this offer.

I guess one way to check is go to a different store and tell them you are planning to use them for your free servicing and see if they will confirm it is on your account...

What Tesla offered you is more than fair and if I were you, I'd keep that.

Agree. Just sold my wheel for 3000. So 1500 for annual maintenance and warranty is fair. I hope they remember when I go to service at Cherry hill Tesla in a year! . It was a big headache though which cannot be quantified in $.

My CPO purchase was like that. They said they had nothing to state the warranty directly, and same for supercharging, but confirmed it by email. I've been in several times and they never bat and eye. All good.

Sounds like you got a great deal. Sell the wheels if you don’t need them, lots of folks up north buy a second set for winter tires.

Just make sure to get things in writing.

I was offered the maintenance as well. Two annual maintenance services later and they still are taking care of it on the house. Tesla stays true to their word in most cases!
