CPO Experience/Process December 2018

Yeah, that was my experience as well. Even after you pick up the vehicle, if you have any issues that relate to the CPO and delivery process, talk to your Inside Delivery Agent and if it’s something that requires service, they’ll schedule you for an appointment and/or create a due bill if required. If it’s obviously a warranty issue then talk to the service center.

Good luck and hope everything goes smooth!

So in anticipation of my scheduled pickup tomorrow, I called the service center this morning to find out about the inspection and to make sure the car is charged up. I was told this morning that the service center has NOTHING to do with CPO cars. They are inspected at auction (his words) and handled by the sales and delivery team. He can't even tell me if it is going to be charged up for my drive home. I'll keep you updated. Wish me luck!
Oh boy. Wishing you luck. I’m on my way to pick up mine. Sitting on the train waiting for them to call me again with bad news. Fingers crossed.

So how did it go. I put my deposit down on 12/21/18 and the car is in San Diego, being transported to a delivery center in San Diego, and I'm in San Diego yet I still don't have a delivery date.
Well, I just picked up my Tesla and on my way home a tire pressure warning came up on the screen and now I’m stopped at a GAS station waiting for them to call me back as they remotely try to see what the problem is. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

RobertManning, I feel your pain. I managed to drive 100 miles before my MCU completely failed.

No climate control, no radio, no back up camera, no autopilot, no charging (except supercharging), no mobile app access, etc.

I was 250 miles from home when that happened. Then the car was gone for 10 days while Tesla replaced the MCU (fortunately covered by warranty). Was given an Enterprise loaner, a 2019 Impala LT.

I bought one in November in San Diego as well (I live here too). It took over 2 weeks and multiple calls/emails/texts to get it delivered. The delivery specialist kept saying "The car is in San Diego so it should be quick", but nothing ever happened until I kept pestering them. Apparently the car was located in an offsite storage facility somewhere in the city, and it took them time to find it and get it to the delivery center.

Yes, but it took over 20 hours of my time to go back to the delivery center for troubleshooting, calling the 800 number (waiting on hold for 1+ hour each time), going to/from the service center, and 5 days without the car while being fixed.

These "70 point inspections" are clearly not comprehensive.

What ended up being wrong with it that caused autopilot not to work?

Thanks for the info...but now I am wondering if this order was a good idea.

The whole Tesla CPO process is frustrating and infuriating. Having said that, now that everything has been fixed, none of that matters when I get into my car every day and smile.

Feel free to send me a PM if you have any more questions about the process since we're both local to San Diego.

That sucks Rob. Glad you finally got your car though.

Did you see the title to your car? Also was the car registered with actual plates or temps?

Wow. I guess I should count my blessings
