Curb rash repair

Within the first couple weeks of driving my Model 3, I scrapped the left front rim very badly-all the way around the rim. I just got a quote for $180 to repair it.
Does anyone have a good referral for the East Bay area of San Francisco so I can get another quote?
TIA.

Call your local service center. They should be able to refer you to a good local mobile wheel repair service. In Sacramento, the Tesla recommended wheel repair service charges $130 per wheel.

New rim is not much more...call SC for quote:

Below you will find your local rim prices.
$230.00 Primacy MX M4's
$280.00 Continental extreme contact
$230.00 Good Year Eagle Touring
$280.00 Good Year Eagle RS

I got rim rash on my back right wheel at the Costa mesa service center cause i was afraid i was blocking someone, no audible sensors or anything, just the sound of grinding. I bought the color pen, spent 30 minutes cleaning it up and using the Touch up pen everyone recommends. Barely noticeable now. Shi* happens, rather put the money towards next car or PPF.

I used RimPro-Tec for my 19" rims. We unfortunately hit a really high curb and fortunately the rash was only on the rim edges. Used this rim "protector" just for piece of mind that touching the curb won't damage rim paint. Here's the review and pictures of it on my M3 multicoat red. Before installing this product I used a Dremel tool to flatten out the curb rash for maximum adhesion on the impacted rim.

hope this helps with options on protecting your rims!

I know this is an old thread, but I would love to know if those stayed on and how well. I’m afraid they’d fly off in web the side of my baby. Not good.
