Good idea...it makes a lot of sense, being Porsche drivers they need the extra protectionOne recommendation would be to go for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - but in the Porsche fitment. These have more of a rim protection protrusion built into the tyre itself.
Absolutely good advice. Pics on the internet are not detailed enough and an inspection by a tyre expert would confirm if safe to use, the only issue is that most tyre fitters and managers of these branches know diddly squat about tyres - except how to repair and fit them, perhaps the best advice would be from an MOT examiner who will know for sure if the tyre is legal and safe, If it wouldn't pass an MOT then it needs replacing.Easier to go to a decent (ideally independent) local tyre garage and get their hands on expert advice for the cost of a bacon butty (or two) than take hands off advice from internet that might be wrong…
You say that, but had a shiny screw dead centre of the tread and my usual place took one look at the foam inside the tyres and said “can’t be repaired, that’ll be £270 for a new one”.Easier to go to a decent (ideally independent) local tyre garage and get their hands on expert advice for the cost of a bacon butty (or two) than take hands off advice from internet that might be wrong…
Definitely not a Model Y.
The Model Y is the only Tesla with the plastic trim on the wheel arch and rocket panel. Unless this is modded heavily, it will be a Model Y.
