So after all of the pain and suffering of living through changing EDD's, at the end of the day it was +/- 4 days from the original?? Hardly seems worthwhile to track! (he said, hitting refresh 5 times during the writing of this post)

Frankly, I miss that culture of taking care of each other… where and when did we become so competitive and cut throat to lose this so important trait!!!
this is my opinion so I hope the forum doesnt oust me, but I feel like it's when we all became so scared of everything that is new and different. I think about really cool, accepting places now: Austin - though it's changing as it corporatizes, New Hope, or Asbury Park here in NJ. They are all very open and they celebrate weirdness and new things and new ideas. And you feel that when you go there.

I had a Sociology teacher in college once (probably actually at a similar timeframe to when Ibram X Kendi was nearby and just a Paolo/Thorndale line ride over to Temple) who required all of their (very homogeneous) classes to take a trip into Philly's low-income housing neighborhoods. Racism, like other fears, has a cure; and that cure is exposure. We fear what we don't understand. That's slightly tangential to your comment, but I think it's related. If we focus on our similarities as humans in this rat race, we are probably much more likely to help each other, and a little less ready to "cut throats"

That is crazy! For what it's worth, I cancelled my original inventory order because it was nothing but a headache. The same day I re-ordered out of inventory and had the car 2 days later...
Thanks. I know some people must have a simpler time than me. My main mistake was ordering a car out of Texas. Huge pain getting out of Texas. Took over a week just to be allowed to ship it. Then the hurricane blows down my service center. None of this is Tesla’s fault. But they are horrible at communicating. As we all know.

Delivery set for 17th now. Fingers crossed. But…

Yep! I will be perfectly happy if they come through with a car this month, as that’s what we’ve expected from the start. I’ve definitely been impatiently waiting though!! One car has been a real learning curve for us 😂😂

Long time lurker, first time poster. I ordered 6/12, MYLR white on black with 7 seats and tow hitch. Waiting on my VIN very impatiently. It feels a lot like waiting for a baby to be born. You have the due date, plus or minus two weeks. Both my kids were 2 weeks late. Hoping that my Tesla is right on time!

Couple of bonus details for your interest: My 14 year old cat is named Tesla after the scientist, because I didn’t know of the car brand at the time. My birthday is next week and I’m hoping I make some progress as a gift for me!

EDD has remained consistent for past week at 9/16 to 9/28.

Took delivery today. Minor issue with spoiler not connected passenger side and minor scratch that will come out tomorrow when it gets a ceramic coat and front PPF, Windows tinted, and all other accessories installed.
Driven about 20+ miles and already use to one pedal driving. Now to just figure out how everything else works.

Thanks to all the great people here for passing on info and just listening to everyone’s struggle.

I purchased this car out of inventory August 18th. 3 weeks in, who know if I will get the car or not. THREE WEEKS. And 99% the SA wont have anything they can do and the car is gone tonight. This car has been nothing but bad news from day 1. I would rather start over.
I’m sorry, so many delays, both explainable and inexplicable.

I think your story serves as a cautionary tale for others here: don’t cancel your existing order. If you go for an inventory car, there is literally zero cost to you to keep the order open. You’ve already paid the order fees. Cancel the old order once you have taken delivery of your inventory car!

Despite all the bounces, your current EDD is within one week of the original EDD from when you first ordered! I’m actually kind of impressed, despite all the shite we talk about Tesla.

seems like mine was having similar problems of them getting it out of Vegas

Delivery day!! Say hello to Felix (like Allyson Felix, cuz she’s FAST):

We lucked out on timing somehow, but any wait for this car is tough. Have had about 10 minutes to enjoy it before the rest of the family took over. Smiles all around!
Nice! Congrats. Did it comes with factory front mud flaps and rear rocker panel PPF? Maybe Minnesota gets them as standard equipment.
