Just went to Tesla factory (I live 5 miles from the factory). Car is going to be off the manufacturing line tomorrow and they said they can probably deliver the same day as they will just have someone to drive the car from the factory to my place. Original estimated delivery time was April 29th. Ordered on April 6th.

Well my reservation was canceled by tesla! I called this morning because I couldn't see it on my account and they assured me it was a glitch. I called again after work and they told me it had been canceled. They asked me to make another since they couldn't reinstate. Still haven't guaranteed the original price, nor the 100 deposit, nor financing! This is crazy!

wow... This is what I mean by they treat customers like a Mobile phone company would. "No big deal just order another one." That's something you hear at T mobile, not a mid-level luxury car manufacturer.

Yea, I went to the showroom, not sure if it is service center. I was asking them if I can do pick up instead of delivery, and they ended up moving up my delivery date to a earlier date after they checked the status of the car.

Interesting! I ordered min on 4/20 and have a May 27-June 26 delivery date. MY LR Midnight Silver with white interior. 19", delivery to Orange County.

New dates for me 6/2-6/30. Ordered 4/9 from SoCal. SA did say June ETA from the start so I was kind of expecting this jump.

Ordered my MY7 Blue on March 13.

My date got continually pushed back. On Thursday the 22nd, it was pushed back till May 20th - June 10th.

Sunday the April 25th, I got a vin with a delivery date of April 26th - 28th. Now I have an actual delivery date on the April 28th.

Their delivery date system is wild. Wishing you all a speedy delivery day.

Pick up is not available at the moment, and I can only do home delivery.

I ordered a Y on 4/20 and the earliest shipping date has gone from 5/6 to 6/15 and now it’s 6/18 this morning. This is annoying for so many reasons, especially as I am trying to make adjustments to the loan I’m getting externally so I can pay in cash. Which by the way, initially got me an earlier delivery date when I indicated a cash purchase.

Be ready for date changes roller coaster, I don't think cash or loan makes any differences.

I would have to agree. I ordered April 5th and I live in Southern California and my date was shifted from 4/28 - 5/8 to 5/5 - 5/25. So, I see no pattern to this.

Been creeping one day, every day for the last 2 weeks+ (minus a few random far jumps). I feel like the "one day" move is "we are expecting a VIN anytime". But if you are expecting a VIN for weeks there is something wrong.

Current update is 5/9-5/27.

As for the person that suggested white/black interior was holding up, there were a couple of people 2 days ago that got white/black interior VINs (including someone in my area with almost the exact same config).

As for the selling, Tesla low-balled my car quite a bit. Vroom was OK, KBB just went back to Vroom. Carvana was the best offer but still quite low. I got 5k more privately because of the rare configuration of my Model S with items that were canceled 1-2 years later (green color, rear facing seats, twin chargers @ 80amp). I went through TRED which was actually quite nice for private selling.

I wonder if Tesla knows their used car offers don't last as long as the loan offers so they prioritize those that are trading in their cars to Tesla?

I would have to agree. I ordered April 5th and I live in Southern California and my date was shifted from 4/28 - 5/8 to 5/5 - 5/25. So, I see no pattern to this.

The pattern I see is the backorders are increasing. Musk stated that the MY is expected to be the most popular car by 2022. But that will have to be demand, not necessarily deliveries unless they can get Texas line producing. Fremont seems to be already running at capacity and has only 8 days of inventory on the lot waiting for carriers to ship. Prior average was twice that in Q1. All this says sales are double Q1.

I paid my MY off today and ready for next week delivery. I ordered and of March so today was exactly one month. Looks like I will have waited a full 5 weeks for delivery. Last year I got delivery of my MS in 2 weeks from order. Big difference.
