Another week with no estimated delivery range. Sitting at 9 weeks and 3 days. My original estimate when I placed the order was 1-10 weeks.

That makes me feel less excited about my 9 week estimation. Especially since we are both in Indiana.

A future build date? If you have a build date, then by definition don’t you also have an associated VIN?

Apparently not. According to others on here, the VIN is only customer matched after the vehicle is built.

We know lots of MY’s have been built already and yet still no vins so the build date doesn’t seem to mean much as far as actual delivery. Which, now that I think about it, I’m not as excited about that date anymore because it doesn’t mean anything to me as far as receiving the car. I wonder if the SA knew that when they told me the “build date”?

Just talked to the Tesla SC in Decatur, GA and the SA said that their lot is full and they can't take any more vehicles and that VINs are being assigned.

I have also been stuck on 5-9 weeks for the last two weeks. I'm at the 7 week mark (ordered April 1).

Ordered April 1st - 2021 Model Y LR AWD Pearl White, Black interior, 5-seat, 19" wheels, Tow Hitch, no FSD.

Ordered 4/2 with pretty much the same config (I added 20” inductions and didn’t add the hitch). Just switched to 5 - 9 weeks this morning.

Finalized my order early April (originally put money down 2 years ago), delivery estimate has been sliding week for week. Now June 15 - June 30th. Going to be crazy end of qtr delivery rush or else everything sliding into next qtr. model s delays could be due to redesign but model y delays must be due to parts shortages?

I am surprised that the automotive and financial press are not all over the containment hold story, which suggests it is not real. This seems more like the standard Tesla production priorities and delivery hiccups.

Now that I think about it, Matthew Broderick in this situation is basically our SAs. They aren't given any info from Tesla corporate and just have to work with the quarter pens they are given

People are taking delivery as evidenced by YT and posts on other social media platforms. Watching the spreadsheet in this thread, orders placed in March are finishing up and April orders are beginning to trickle out.
